That better?
This would result in everyone with a CPA at AC HQ going off sick.

Trying to figure out the best seat in PE on a flight from YYZ-LHR. The plane appears to be a 777-200. I have the choice of 14C or 12H. I'd prefer to have 14C since there's no one behind that seat -- but on Seatguru they claim that the recline doesn't go back as far. BUT, there's a review on Seatguru that indicates that there were no recline issues when he sat in that seat.

Anyone with some experience on the 777-200 care to weigh in?

12C is missing a footrest so if that's important to you I would avoid. I've sat in 14 on 777 before and I didn't notice a limited recline. It seemed like 13 went back further but that might be just because of the fact it reclines into 14's space.

I always try and get row 13 in PE but I would opt for 14 if not available since storage is better, ability to put bag under seat during flight and there being a footrest.

Pros of 12H over 14C: more knee room, no one reclines into your space, your seatmate doesn't have to wake you up to get out,
Cons of 12H over 14C: limited leg room, no foot rest, IFE screen in the armrest so you can't use it during take-off/landing

Also 14C reclines normally.

Thanks for this. VERY helpful. I think I'll stick with 14C.

IIRC 14D,E,F,G do not recline as far as rows 12 and 13 due to the bulkhead behind the seat. I think AC and H-K recline further, but not sure if they recline as much as 12 and 13.

The refurb 77L and 400 seat 77Ws have the new 787 Y seats with new IFE?

That means only the 333 and remaining 763s have the old Y seats with old IFE now?

I've seen conflicting information, but I think the original 2-class 77Ws, the 77Ls and newly-delivered HDs (2016+ iirc) have the new 787 seats with Panasonic ex3 AVOD. The original 5 HDs have ex2 AVOD still, I believe.

333 and 763 continue to have the (old) comfy seats, with the old THALES AVOD, even in the newly-retrofitted PY section of the 333.

Does anyone have any experience in Rows 61-64 of the 777? I'm looking at a TATL flight with the wife and the one thing making me consider sitting at the back of the bus is that these rows are 2-4-2 so the wife and I can sit in a 2 and have slightly more comfort than a window and an aisle would afford. The seats also appear angled on the seatmap so not sure if that helps or hinders with legroom.

Flew row 62 to SYD in March. I've done 10+ long haul legs this year on 777 and 787, and my best Y experience was row 62. Lots to room to stand up, wander to the back and stretch or talk to others. There's room for more storage between the window seat and the wall. Only downside I found was the chance your preferred meal option would run out before you were served, and the length of time it took for everyone to offload on arrival. I would suggest not row 61 as the first 2 seats are at an angle compared to the seat back screens of the 3 in front.
