Not in row 18

Edit: Or does it not have a bulkhead on the HD?

Actually on the 77HD there is no bulkhead separating 18ABC in Y from 14A-C in PE (same for 18HJK and 14H-K) but does AC expect Y bags to go under PE seats, not to mention that 3 into 2 "won't go"!

Perhaps bulkhead rows should all be preboarded since those passengers have no underseat storage available - and most bulkhead rows are prferred seats!

No. No bags fit under the seat in front of you in most 777HD seats.

Bottom line: a combination of people being cheap and airlines catering to cheap customers.

People have to suffer in order to convince themselves they got the best deal. In other owrds, only if the suffer are they happy....
But for the reality that US airlines have more fees, charge less overall and haven't been caught doing this in a country where people are far more aggressive in catching companies out and holding them to account.

Suffice it to say, the cheapness of the passenger isn't the issue here as much as passenger passivity. We've got folk like you arguing that this is the type of service you get for the amount you pay (keeping in mind that we're talking about an airline that boasts high RASMs, rendering claims of cheapness laughably obfuscative), presumably in the name of 'balance'. Or it could simply be a case of understaffing - a fairly regular occurrence at companies that have engaged in aggressive cost cutting.

The system in place works 99.7% of the time but when we are the 3/1000 that something happens we freak out.
Must be a north american thing. Flew into Heathrow this AM. Landed at 940, at gate at 955 (gate occupied on arrival). Through border control at 1020 - bag available on belt. At YYZ, YOW, YUL etc, this would be an anomaly. I tend to believe that its down to poor staffing levels.

Not looking forward to returning to YOW via YYZ on Monday with two checked pieces. Bit worried the 1hr 30 min connection time will be too little even with priority tags. And then there's YOW domestic arrivals, where you can waltz up to Harveys, grab a bite, waddle around for 10-15 minutes and then get back to the belt at least 10 minutrs before the first priority tagged bag shows up. Unfortunately, employer booked the ticket on short notice so I doubt I ll make the direct yow flight.

Just noticed gate 44 at YVR has a carryon slide.
Not sure if it's new, but I think it's the only bridge at YVR with one.

How long before AC introduces a formal policy to prevent episodes like this again?

From now on all cell phones, cameras and video cameras will have to be placed in checked baggage only. That should fix it.

Or as a pop up ad when AC reps log on to FT for their daily chuckle?

The story is still circulating in global media, including this piece which includes some other baggage handling moments captured on YouTube.

Man I can only image how poorly they treat the bags of us busines/first class passengers.

I'm just thankful they have not got to the point of pissing on our bags.

I'm willing to guess all our priority marked bags get thrown out the hardest

I'm sure the priority ones are the ones most fun to throw.

UGH...

The thought makes me sick especially knowing how much we paid for our seat

Does anyone really believe that their J travel bags are treated better by the rampies than Y pax bags?
