I think it's safe to say that the recent 737 MAX grounding will hurt the stock price at least in the short term. Down over 2% in the last 5 days.

Should effect all of Boeing customers.

I am somewhat surprised the stock didn't drop further. The B737 Max is going to be the new backbone of the fleet.
That being said, maybe now is a buying opportunity, as I am sure Boeing fill figure this out quickly and regulators will put the plane back in the sky soon.

Getting kicked off the TX60 sent the price down 1.5% today.

Air Canada fell as much as 1.5 per cent on Monday after the stock was unexpectedly left out of a reshuffle of the S&P/TSX 60 Index and Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. added instead.

My prediction is that the announcement will be delayed by 1:30 due to IT constraints.

My bet is that it will be delayed because brd/off points required this announcement.

The annoying thing is that from 99% of FTers, I'd groan at that post.

From you, I'm still groaning, but for better reasons.

The stock is taking a pounding today and the past few weeks. Was over $52.00 a few weeks ago and down almost 6% today to $44 and change.

Just like other airlines. Expected impact of the coronavirus. Air Canada probably does not have as big an exposure to the Chinese market as they onve hoped they would, but there likely will be an impact overall, hence the effect on stock. Same is happening to airlines that don't fly to China. I was just looking at Brazilian airlines, for instance, also a significant drop.
