Help needed with mini RTW intinary
Is this a valid routing? Which is best POT?

YVR-LAX
LAX-ICN (<24 hr overnight connection)
ICN-PEK (stop)

PEK-BKK (<24hr overnight connection)
BKK-MUC
MUC-FRA (stop)

FRA-ZRH
ZRH-YUL
YUL-YYZ (stop)

YYZ-YVR

New to Aeroplan, so thanks in advance for the help. I pieced this together on Expert Flyer/Aeroplan -- Is it a valid routing, and if so which Turn works?

SFO-ICN UA or OZ (<24 hr overnight connection)

ICN-SIN OZ (<24 hr overnight connection)
SIN-PER SQ (Stop) - Turn?

PER-JNB SA (Stop) - Turn?

JNB-IST TK (<24 hr overnight connection)
IST-ZRH TK (Stop)

ZRH-SFO LX

I'd be very curious whether this works, as I don't think JNB-IST-ZRH is a valid routing, nor is SFO-ICN-SIN-PER, but I could *very* well be wrong about that.

OK I finally got it.....

YYZ-FRA (LH J)
FRA-SIN (SQ A388 J)
SIN-MEL (SQ J)
MEL-AKL (NZ J)

Here's the fun part.......

AKL-NRT (NZ J)
NRT-EWR (CO J)

I wanted to add YYZ, but

(1) needed a good reason (as to why I changed the route when I get back essentially the same time)......

(2) already exceeded MPM by 700 miles... going back to YYZ would exceed over 1200 miles (because of a reduced rate for MEL-YYZ & extra travelling mileage incurred)

Therefore, I just left it at EWR and decided to walk home

What do you mean by "needed a good reason"? They originally made a mistake on your routing and only preserved it as a goodwill gesture, or what?

Well - a legitimate routing appears to be YYZ-LHR-JNB-PER-SIN-NRT-SFO-YYZ. So logically speaking, perhaps you can do SFO-NRT-SIN-PER, stop, PER-JNB-LHR-YYZ-SFO (or maybe even LHR-SFO direct) - perhaps that would be allowed?

Originally was ok.... within MPM.... cause its via HNL/LAX/YUL... But then again, I have to sit upright for 20+ hours..... (all of them are regional J seats).

Now all the flights are flatbread.......i mean flatbed

It is a valid routing with the following easy fix:

SFO-ICN UA or OZ (<24 hr overnight connection)

ICN-SIN OZ (<24 hr overnight connection)
SIN-PER SQ (Stop)

PER-JNB SA (Stop) - TURN

JNB-IST TK (stop)


IST-ORD LX (connection)
ORD-SFO UA


The only issue is that the Turn is JNB, and with no special promtional mileage offering for South Africa, I need to make the TURN in PER, and skip JNB and save over 70,000 miles per person.

This is a good point. I think once you stop, the city becomes a candidate for POT - and if it also happens to be the furthest one away, you're probably screwed.

There is hardly any availability in J on UA. The other issue is it is hard to get to IST from PER and avoid doubling up SIN. I apprecaite everyones input!
