I think it more likely that the Tier Miles balances are not presently being shown at all - because they are still calculating the correct balances. There is no reference to Tier Miles whatsoever in the account details - which is NOT the same thing as showing a tier mile balance of "0".
(Forgive me if your account does actually show a statement such as:
"Your current account statement
Award Miles: 123456
Tier Miles: 0"
Mine certaintly doesn't! There is simply no reference to Tier Miles.)

Never believe rumours on FT! That was debunked fairly early on, in the sense that 'carry-over' of excess miles wasn't going to happen.

Perhaps then, for Golds, they are going with the "renewal clears all Tier Miles" approach, aka "we only check for renewals once a year, on your anniversary date".
I'd like to hear from someone who isn't Gold - are you showing a tier miles balance, and does it indeed correspond only to the number of Tier Miles that were added to your account with activity dates on or after 25/11/2013?

I'm a blue member. My tier miles have not been reseted. But I'm actually not sure what will happen when I get to the next tier level. What if I first accumulate 18k tier miles and only then 2 segments on A3? Will they allow for the rest of the miles to roll over (18-12k)? Will they reset all tier miles?

It has shown me that my contact details with A3 are now woefully incorrect ... looks more like a transfer of information issue between database fields rather than anything else because parts of the information are there, just not in quite the right place!

I'm quite sure that I filled in the right information and I double-checked all the numbers again and again. Has anyone succeeded in retroclaim the miles?
