I just received an e-mail, saying I earned 6 more Suite Night Upgrades. I can't figure out what for, since I haven't stayed anywhere since July. Did anyone else receive something similar?
Before today, I just had 16 SNUs in my account expiring Dec 2021, and I now have 6 more expiring this year, which were just added today. I have no plans to use them, so they'll expire this year, but I can't figure out why they even showed up. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...44ff79e169.png |
So the new snu expired earlier than your old one? 🤔
Maybe Accor try to tempted you to book their higher rate and apply these snu instead of getting promotional rate at fairmont.com 🤣 |

Or, maybe it's a simpler explanation than that. Perhaps it's just the usual Accor IT screw-ups at work, and these weren't supposed to be given at all. |
I just checked my account and no new ones for me. The 9 I currently have will undoubtedly go unused. What a ridiculous benefit.

I received the same email, but "only" received 5 extra suite nights. With my current 8 and one that I used before, I have 14 in total now (2 more than the max. for one year).
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...1ec9b21e7c.jpg The email states that the number of extra nights is based on my current status points level, it also states that the expiry date of the nights will probably be different than that of other night upgrades I already have. In China, the suite upgrades are not that bad. The hotline accepts upgrades for all rates. This year I upgraded a gold room in Shanghai Fairmont Peace Hotel to gold suite for the cheapest rate. For all my other trips, I didn't need it, as usually I can already confirm by mail that I receive complementary suite upgrade as diamond member with every hotel. These 5 suite upgrades I can now use for a christmas stay in the north of China to guarantee a suite, so still comes a little in handy. |
The exclusion list for SNU has been revised on 23/09
https://all.accor.com/loyalty-progra...pdf-snu.en.pdf Compared to the previous version dated April 2020, no hotel has been added but a few hotels have been removed from the exclusion list, mostly in the Mövenpick brand :

The mysteriously appearing SNUs, expiring this December, have vanished from my account. I'm just left with the original 16 SNUs expiring next year. I guess my initial suspicion was correct, that it was just the usual Accor IT incompetence that caused them to appear in the first place.

I received another 3 SNU for manage to earn enough status point for Platinum.
They were listed as having Dec 2021 expiry date. Interesting to see that more and more hotels now accepts SNU (including Raffles Bali and Jakarta, and Fairmont Singapore.) I believe we still have to contact Accor reservation office to apply these SNUs? |

A new update of the exclusion list for SNU has been posted on Nov. 4. But not a lot of changes:
The following hotel has been added to the list: - China : Pullman Yueyang The following hotel has been removed from the list: - Germany : Sofitel Berlin Kurfurstendam (but we know this hotel is leaving Accor) |

I guess Bonvoys SNA with all their issues is still more user friendly compare to ALL SNU
Will try see if I can use them on my next stay in either Raffles Jakarta or Bali, or Fairmont Singapore. |
Will SNUs be extended? The account I'm looking at shows an expiry date of 31 Dec 2020 for them.

If I reach platinum on 01/12/20, will I receive SNU? if yes, how many and when will they expire?
