The list of hotels that do not accept SNU is now long of 117 hotels plus 6 countries.
At this rate it will be shorter to list hotels that accept SNU. |

And that list would be even shorter, if you filtered it further to show only those hotels that accept SNUs where you can actually book a rate eligible for upgrade where using the SNU is cheaper than simply booking the suite outright.
SNU Eligible Rates Eligible rates include all standard rates (including the ALL - Accor Live Limitless and Accor Plus Member rate) and all promotional rates except the following: - Excluded rates mentioned in Article 7.2 Rates Eligible to Earn Points of the General Conditions of Membership; - Family offers; - Package rates; - Day Use Rates; - Corporate Rates; - Ibis Business and Accor Business Plus membership card rates |

Once again, the exceptions list has been expanded considerably today, and now includes the SO/ Mauritius.
And the list could continue to be expanded... Date of the next update ?

Wow, just wow. The number of exceptions is laughable. Why create a global loyalty programme across the world and across brands, when you cannot reward your top tier loyal customers across the world and across brands?

Apparently Raffles Singapore not accepting SNU now. :(
Still have Raffles Jakarta! :D So most of Raffles, Fairmonts, Sofitels not accepting SNU. With this progress, maybe at the end of the year, we can only exchange the SNU to Accor's signature apple. The SNU program pretty much useless. |

Yes there are some Fairmont and Raffles that still not on the list ... yet ...
However, since most of Accor brands is not participating, we left only with Raffles, Fairmont, Swissotel, Movenpick, Sofitel, M Gallery, Grand Mercure, and Pullman. And then from these limited brands, Accor still exclude quite a number of these hotel brands. |

No, when I called, I've found several Fairmonts that accept the SNU. The problem is that I've yet to find a one where the Accor reservation line has access to the multitude of discounts and promo codes that are available to anyone right off the fairmont.com booking website or through the Fairmont reservation line, making it cheaper to just pay for the suite. So I agree they're useless with Fairmont too, but not because they're not accepted.

This growing list is just ridiculous and the development of SNU usability disappointing.
I’m surprised to see Raffles Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford on the list. I thought these two properties are owned or operated by Accor. |

Sorry, meant Fairmont and Swissôtel. Thanks for the information.

But wait! Don't you want to give Accor even more loyalty so you can earn a 3rd and more SNUs? 🤪

My experience with using a SNU at the Raffles Shenzhen has been a good one. We received an upgrade on arrival from the booked Junior Suite to a much-larger Raffles Suite (one-category upgrade).
