Club Sofitel at Sofitel Nanjing Galaxy
I stayed at the Sofitel Nanjing Galaxy last summer for a few days. They have an executive lounge branded Club Sofitel on one of the upper floors. I took my breakfast there each day and also enjoyed an evening cocktail service. The lounge has computer workstations, conference room and a few different seating areas. Very similar to a Club Millesimme (e.g. Wanda Beijing), but a bit smaller. The staff at the Club Sofitel in Nanjing were excellent.

Club Millésime at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila
The Club Millésime at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila is my all time favourite.
It's a very stylish place, yet not too formal, i.e. it's a great place to relax and enjoy all the amenities it has to offer: wide selection of food and drinks, books, iMacs, and games. With one word: amazing.
It offers hot and cold buffet for breakfast, during afternoon tea and in the evening. The afternoon tea included for example tomato and mozzarella sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, warm cod sandwiches, baos, cakes, chocolates, and fruits.
Later in the evening we were treated with salmon sashimi with condiments, cold smoked salmon, roasted salmon and lapu-lapu, tuna cocktails, lamb shanks, lamb skewers, beef skewers, breasola, prosciutto, coppa ham, selection of cheeses and breads… Just to name a few. One doesn't basically need to eat anywhere else.

Club Millésime at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila vol 2
Yet another great stay at Sofitel in Manila. The Club Millésime is just awesome. Service is always so warm, welcoming and polite.
The lounge is open from 6am to 10pm and the benefits includes breakfast either in the lounge (6:3010:30am) or Spiral restaurant (610am), afternoon snacks (2:304:30pm), plus evening cocktails, wines and dinner buffet (57pm).
They also offer one hour complimentary usage of their conference room up to eight persons daily, free DVDs, CDs, newspaper, magazines and books, pressing one suit or dress, 20% discount on laundry, and shoe shining service.
Food selection changes daily basis and instead of common small bites, they serve generous buffet. This time we got tuna melt, hotdogs, quesadillas, cheese and ham toast, corned beef in bread roll, egg and anchovies sandwich, sandwich topped with avocado, asparagus and prosciutto for afternoon snacks.
Evening buffet included for example meatballs, shrimps in peanut butter sauce, tuna sashimi, shrimp nigiri, scallops, smoked chicken salad, tiger prawns, crabs, lamb kofta with asparagus and zucchini, breaded cheese sticks, prawn and pomelo cocktails, potato gratin
Beers and other refreshments are available all day long. I suggest to try their fresh mango juice. It's delicious.
Good to know for families: 8-year-old and younger children cant access the lounge after 5pm.

Can someone, who has stayed a lot in Sofitels, tell me what the difference is between Club Millesime and Club Sofitel, and also how it compares to other chains' lounges.
I booked a room with access to the Club Millesime at the yet to open Sofitel Kuala Lumpur Damansara. When I look at the rates the rooms with club access are twice the price of the normal rooms, which include breakfast.
So does Club Millesime actually offer any value?
Personally a lounge for me does not have to offer something that can replace a meal in the evening, as long as the quality is top notch, and for breakfast I usually go to the restaurant. So the most important factor is the evening cocktail and canapé service hours. As for afternoon tea, I am usually out of the hotel at those hours.
First time staying at a Sofitel, but I am curious as to how it compares to Conrad hotels and I expect it to be better than Hilton lounges in comparable locations in Asia.
Hoping someone can tell me about their experiences of how Sofitels and their lounges compare to other hotels, so I know what to expect.

Most Sofitel properties in Asia are well run with many having nice lounges (the exception would be both Sofitel properties currently open in Singapore.)
Club Millesime compared to a normal Sofitel lounge is a notch up from a normal Sofitel Club. They often have a small library, sometimes a games room for kids, some have shower facilities. Many Club Millesimes also have a proper bar with a bartender instead of just a drinks station where you help yourself. If it is worth double the price remains to be seen as the property isn't open yet.

Any idea how Asian Sofitels compare to other upscale business hotels?
