FAQ: How long does it take to transfer starpoints to AA?

I recently did a transfer, and the miles posted in a day or two.

Any data points from the prior week? Did a lot of people jump on the US Airways award availability and transfer points from SPG to make the booking?
I transferred 60k points from SPG--> Aadvantage on Mon Jan19th 11PM PST. Points still have not arrived (Mon Jan 26th noon PST). Hoping they come soon!
Also transferred 40k from my wife's SPG to mine at the same time. Those have not come either!

Yeah, mine were transferred on Sunday, 1/18, and now it's Thursday 1/29 and the miles STILL haven't posted. It's been 2 Wednesdays and 7 business days (10 calendar days) in between. What good is the ability to "transfer" if it takes so long all the reward tickets are gone?
Meanwhile I get can instant transfers from chase/MR to other programs, or ONE DAY at most.
Pathetic.

Yeah, mine were transferred on Sunday, 1/18, and now it's Thursday 1/29 and the miles STILL haven't posted. It's been 2 Wednesdays and 7 business days (10 calendar days) in between. What good is the ability to "transfer" if it takes so long all the reward tickets are gone?

How long did it eventually take for your SPG points to transfer over to AA miles? I put in a request this past Sunday for 20k with 5k bonus, and it's almost day 5. My reservation hold is expiring tomorrow.
I've read conflicting comments about how long it takes for AA miles to post once they've been transferred... some have mentioned 24 hr. time frame, others have mentioned it took 5 days, while some have stated AA processes these types of requests in batches and only on Wednesdays or Thursdays. I guess it really is YMWV!

Transferred SPG points to my AA account from both my SPG account and my husband's SPG account yesterday at 5 pm PST, June 29. Hoping that they will post to my AA account before midnight, July 4--so I can book award business class flights. At least AA has a 5 day hold...so I'm holding my breath.

With AA, there is a near 100% chance that such a transfer will be rejected.

I put in my request 4 days ago (June 26th), still no transfer as of today (June 30th). 20k points are out of my SPG account, but not added to my AA account. Are there specific days that the transfers post?

SPG transfer confirmed on Monday, as of Friday today still no miles posted in my AA account. Seems doubtful that they will transfer over the weekend, so my 5 day hold of AA business class award flights seems to be in jeopardy.
