SPG points finally posted to my AA account late last night (from Monday night SPG transfer) and tonight (from Tuesday night SPG transfer). So it actually took just 4 days for both.

DATA POINT:
Transferred points from both mine and my wife's SPG accounts to our respective AA accounts on Monday 8/3 around 11am EDT and they were in our accounts this morning. (8/5)

I just did a transfer on Sunday and checked my AA account on Tuesday and I was very suprised to see it in my account. That must be a record. Going to move more and see if it take the same amount of time.

How long to transfer spg points to AA.

SPG says to allow up to 4 weeks when you transfer SPG points to AA. How long did it actually take in your experience for the points to show up in your AA account?

Thanks. Mods can feel free to merge this with that thread.

The short answer to the curious reading this in regard to recent reports:

About 5 business days, but can vary.

Put in a request to transfer 20K points(= 25K AA miles) yesterday afternoon (Saturday, 9/19). When it didn't show up after a few minutes, I checked this thread out and became quite concerned, because I have a flight to Rio on hold which expires tomorrow. Relieved that the points showed up a few minutes ago (8:25 PM, Sunday).

I did make a prior transfer in August, and if I recall correctly, the points showed up in less than a day.

I initiated another transfer for 20K points at 5 pm today and will see how it goes. I have a hold on a partner (Alaska) award from HNL to SEA, but there seems to be decent availability in early December, so I will not be as concerned if the points take longer to post.

Update: Second set of points showed up in AA account around 8 PM Monday (a little over a day).

Recently AA or SPG had a promo for additional bonus points for transfers. Is that promo still active or did it expire? Thanks.

I believe that it expired on August 31st. If I am wrong, I'm sure someone will be happy to point that out.

Data Point: Just transferred from SPG on 3/11/16. Posted to AA on 3/14/2016. It appears its one business day now? Unless they have chosen Monday as the transfer day.

I can confirm a 24 hour turnaround last week. I was afraid it was going to take 48 hours and I would have missed a booking deadline but it came in 24 hours.

Good to hear!

I just came to this thread in a momentary freak out after transferring a few min ago and realizing they might not make it in time. Anyone know how business day/weekend factors in?

Here's hoping...

Gotta book before the deval!

I'm in the same boat as you. Here are my data points:

transfer on 3/2 showed up 3/3 (24 hours)

Transfer on 3/16 showed up around 8am on 3/18 (2 days)

transfer on 3/18 8:15am pacific, (still waiting)

Award on hold expires on 3/20 at 12am ICT (I'm assuming cause I booked through Australia number). So that gives me til Sunday at noon, right?

Seems that the post above from a few months ago (see quote below) had good luck on the weekend?

My heart is racing, will they make it or will I have to buy from AA.

UGHHH...

Good luck!
