AA switched to the 787 earlier in the year, but have since switched back to the three-class 777, which is on the schedule through the booking period. AA sells F on this, at least for now.

That would be nice.

It might be worth noting that AA designates the retrofitted 777 (without F) as 772 rather than 777. So, if you see an AA 772 on the schedule or timetable, it has no F.

For at least the past month or so JAL has had first to SYD. A quick search on the BA award site showed some seats available at least through the end of the month.

Aye since 25 October

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/japan...appen-syd.html

I flew one way in the old aircraft and it was one of the worst flights I've had in 2015

Flew back the other way with flat seats and it was one of the best

FYI, BA will start offering First to SAN soon. They will also switch to a 747 for the summer months. Looks like the first bookable flight is March 27th. They will switch back to the 777, also with First, in the fall.

That route must be doing even better than AUS to warrant a 747

It appears to be only for the summer season. They switch back to a 777 in the fall.

The Combo of AA/BA/Alaska/JAL makes sense for many in San Diego.

Will be flying this route a bunch this year, will update the loads as I do.

There's a rumor that QR will bring the A-380 to SYD-DOH starting in June.

I think a double daily 777 is more likely.

Is HND-HKG with JL getting First soon? It's listed as a route offering First in September, but I'm not seeing any redemption availability.
