All gift cards on plastic are 2.5% wether they are credit or debit (Or supposed to be, the secret is finding the ones that process as a debit card).

Same here but for Quicken Loans. I have a separate recurring payment that went thru earlier this month but one-time payments appear to be a no-go.

Plastiq sent me an email on 8/30 stating US Bank Mortgage deposited my check, imagine my surprise and anger when I got a call today from my bank collection unit saying they haven't received the check yet!

I tried to setup a new recurring payment which was denied as well. My existing recurring payments still all a go.

Not clear if Plastiq lied or US Bank mad a mistake.

Plastiq didn't lie, they emailed me photo proof of the front and the back of the check that was cashed and stamped by US Bank.
I faxed US Bank all the evidence so hopefully that's the end of it.

It turns out the dumb****s at Plastiq made a typo on the check in the loan# field and my payment was applied to someone else's mortgage.
I am beyond livid atm and I will never do business with them again.
PS: In the past I have made at least 10 mortgage payments with them using the same account#, how they screwed it up this time is beyond me.

This happened to me once for a BMW payment. 10+ payments all good followed by one screw up.

Was that also by check, or electronic payment?

I'm wondering if the chance for this kind of screw-up is bigger with a physical check sent by Plastiq vs an electronic payment?

Of course, isn't it also partly the bank's fault for not checking the account number against the name? Plastiq does include your name on the check, doesn't it?

(I've only ever used electronic payment with Plastiq, so I have no experience with the checks they send.)

Check. Like the other poster, it's bewildering how a typo can happen to a payment that was done many times before. I don't think people processing the payments on the payee side get paid enough to do thorough verifications.

More and more payees seem to be coming on electronically so it should be better to send it that way.

Can you have multiple credit cards on file with Plastiq that all have different billing addresses? For example, CC 1 has ABC as a billing address, while CC 2 has a billing address of XYZ.
