That said, I personally think that Jimbaran is not exactly suffering from a shortage of hotels. I wouldn't want to do a project in Bali these days, it's well past its prime.
Aayu in Mumbai looks to be headed down the same route. That building has been in construction for 6 years...

Is Amanoca confirmed to be dead or is there still a shot it opens at some point?

I was so hoping for that one, much needed in Brazil. If it was a Dolphin property it would be long open by now.

The original Brazil Amanresorts was to be by Jean-Michel Gathy - a resort on stilts by the Amazon, but although I saw renderings, it never happened. Then Amanoca emerged - the glamorous option for the Rio crowd. I think it died when the new regime took over.

The Chedi to open in Montenegro second resort in Europe

Luštica Development AD company, a subsidiary of Orascom Development Holding AG, constructing one of Europe’s most coveted escapes, Luštica Bay on the coast of Montenegro, today announce the first 5-star hotel partner with world-renowned luxury hotel brand The Chedi. Set to become the second European hotel of The Chedi brand portfolio, the hotel will operate on a spectacular central position within the Luštica Bay main marina promenade, affording stunning views over the marina and the Adriatic Sea.

"Zecharesorts" -> Azerai

The new chain bei Adrian Zecha is called "Azerai", beiing a combination of Zechas initials and his old balinese "Serai"-brand, as Gallivanter's Guide reports in their new issue.

It's, like speculated, a backtobasics-concept with personalized luxury, but in smaller properties, with smaller rooms and lower prices than Amanresorts.

Azerai Luang Prabang "aims to open in October", as written here in old Phousi Hotel, renovated by Amantaka architect Pascal Trahan.

Thank you for this, I would have never thought I could get excited about the opening of a four star property

Aman planning 4+ India

More than 4 more Indian Amans in the planning:
http://www.thehindu.com/business/Ind...cle8991259.ece
(spotted first by https://twitter.com/gallivanters)

CEO Jolivet is quoted: “India is a more important market for us. New Delhi and Mumbai are definitely our target cities for setting up new properties as well as creating centres of wellness to offer Aman experience. It will offer service to high end customers. We are also exploring main cities everywhere.”

Furthermore, Hindu Times speculates: "The new properties are proposed to be set up in the North, West and South of India. Besides, Rajasthan will have one more resort. Aman is also exploring the possibilities of setting up properties in Chennai, Bengaluru and north east of Kolkata."

re india, how many outside cities.. jolivet only mentions cities.. (residences)
if there's aman delhi condo sales, may compete with DLF's lodhi condo sales

amantaka is large plot of land, villas, over-sized common areas, many staff
azerai might deliver service, food, pool, spa treatments under gary tyson
prices are only that low because it is not just asia but luang prabang

any hope ownership structure of azerai is better than GHM/aman ?

I heard Jolivet comment on so many projects lately...

I wonder which Aman will open next? It's been very silent lately, in terms of development pipeline and renovations.

he was also quoted saying what, 10% of proposals make it? less?

shanghai maybe late 2017, if kyoto is on it might make late 2018
someone said jordan is actually basically done with development
(but that jordan will not open until syria/isis situation more stable)

many projects still suspending construction / not getting financing
dolphin is looking to sell equity in kea, not necessarily aman
there were some planned as part of larger projects in asia
