The Swiss article (in German) can be found here:

http://www.bilanz.ch/unternehmen/saw...-selbst-539265

It not only states that Chedi Andermatt will no longer be GHM, but that GHM will cease to manage hotels altogether and concentrate on franchising only.

Bilanz is a quite reputable journal, so I don't think they are just making this up. Haven't seen it before.
edit - Sno mentioned Legian, article did not ?
is ubud same owner ?
also nam hai and muscat

Would seem common courtesy would be to provide a tip of the hat ("h/t") to the site/poster.

Andermatt Swiss Alps (ASA) has denied the announcement in the Bilanz article – apparently, changes that were made between ASA and The Chedi Andermatt were from a business cooperation standpoint which did not affect nor impact the public. Also, ASA does not have any franchising contract with GHM. GHM affirms that it is still very much in the hotel management business.

You have to wonder about the Bilanz article though. No smoke without fire?

thanks vuittonsofstyle
misunderstanding? re management of andermatt and franchising
if GHM does add franchising, thats separate issue
(remember short lived chedi sakala for example)

wonder what Sno heard re Legian, or if basing on article(s)

How much if any do you think this will affect the end customer - especially in the early days. I am concerned as we will be staying there from the 29th of this month in the Club. Does anyone know if the current General Manager, Andre K will still run the hotel?

Andre is a long-time GHM person, so I doubt he will stay.

I contacted the Legian with some questions and apparently Andre is remaining - now whether that is just an interim measure I'm not sure but I feel reassured knowing he will be there during our stay.

GHM has lost multiple long time GMs from the properties they still manage, plus corporate execs, on top of losing many management contracts (all started during economic crisis)

few positions available for internal moves, other than ahn luh in china
setai GM ended up at corporate for 3 years until recent move to como

Adrian Zecha is back with a new company Azula and the SERAI brand.

Azula develops, manages and markets resorts and hotels. Developed under the “Serai” brand, each property possesses a distinctly unique character and charm and by limiting size of the properties to a maximum of 80 rooms and suites, provides for personal and attentive service, yet achieves this within a relaxed and informal atmosphere.
The company’s key executives have worked together previously with the globally recognised Amanresorts since its inception. The team are applying this experience and business ethos to creating a new product and brand, which, through price point, caters to a wider market segment.
The aim of the Serai is to open three to four hotels and resorts each year
