MAD - BIO
Sandwich - I think it was ham and cheese, but it appeared to be the only option.
Perfectly fine for a very short flight.

Sorry, I have no photos to share with you but I wanted to report that my travelling companion continues to rave on about the veal burger she enjoyed on board our recent flight to Madrid. Having a diet that denies myself from such culinary delights, I went with the pumpkin filled pasta. It was pretty good too.

They recently ran out of pasta (which I really enjoy in any of the many forms that they serve this) on one of my flight and only had the veal burger left so I politely declined the main course altogether rather than eating that dish ever again – The purser was then so kind and nice to get me a club sandwich from tourist class instead which was actually quite good

I've had said burger and found it really bland... however ternera is often wrongly translated to be veal, when actually it is young beef (ternera lechal is what British people would call veal). The issue I have is that the crew call it a hamburger/hamburguesa, which for me means it should come in a bap/bun, as opposed to just a burger.

Sorry - I have not taken a picture.
Yesterday I flew MAD-LHR and had sirloin (solomillo - BTW translated into English as 'steer eye' - is it really how you translate solomillo?). It was just about perfect... Highly recommended...

i've had the solomillo too (it's called solomillo de novillo on the Spanish menu - I've had it twice over the last month!) - which is steer meet (young, castrated bovine). Meat cuts do not translate well from Spanish to English - particularly not on Iberia menus which appear to be Google translated.
'Beef sirloin' would be a perfectly adequate translation, but the Spanish market identifies the meat by age much more than in the UK/US. The frequent mistake is when people translate ternera to be veal - when actually it is just young beef and red rather than pale coloured (ternera lechal is veal).
I agree it was tasty and well cooked!
