because iberia doens't price multisegments as separate flights. if i do say 3 flights 200miles each, i'd be charged at the first tier for iberia while BA would charge me 4500x3.
I made some progress after HUCA but was quoted a ridiculous price for the price that i wanted so i'm passing on iberia.

The only way to know is to call IB, then. Sometimes with partners they have some availability that doesn't show up online, although they do not need to have the same availability as BA.

Iberia used to show one way partner redemptions, but now I can only find return flights on AA, JAL, CX, QR,... It seems to be your case.

I've an upcoming booking ZRH-MAD which I upgraded during online check in to business class.

I credit the flight to BAEC. How many TP will I get? 5 as in economy or 40 as in business?

That would indeed be from Madrid, but strikes me as sort of out of date. They no longer fly to CAI/LOS/IST, for example. Yet NRT/PVG are listed. CAG and BSL are missing, maybe others.

It says above free seat selection if business class. I've booked business class but they want me to pay to choose seat. Also when does row one open up? T72 like BA?

Yes. You first have to add them to "Beneficiaries" (Iberia Plus -> My Card -> Beneficiaries).

How strict is Iberia for carry-on luggage size in business class longhaul

I am flying BOS-MAD in business class and my carry-on is 1 inch longer than Iberia's limits. How strict are they?

Meal service question

I'll be on IB3256, MAD-LIN, soon. 1950-2155.

Will there be a J meal service? What is a typical menu?

Thanks.
