EXPEDIA=FAIL

It's only a matter of time till they ruin Orbitz. Great competitive strategy; gobble up your good competitor and bring it down to your lousy level. Like CO did to UA.

Well, they will get away with it in my case because I've wasted way too much time on this already. Canceled, got my refund (heh I hope) and another good reminder as to why I avoid expedia.

Everyone take screenshots... good for CC disputes and/or letter from an attorney.

Here's hoping the screwups are bad enough that they throw some compensation coupons your way even if they don't honor the booking.

Agreed. What's the end game here? All the OTAs are now Expedia. All the hotel groups merge into one (InternationalMarriotWood on the Hil by Hyatt). They then buy Expedia. Every hotel room is now vertically integrated into one company. Consumers can either get a hotel room at exorbitant prices with low value (from that company) or use AirBnB.

Not to go all OMNI here, but I sure wish they would block some of these anti-competitive acquisitions/mergers.

SAVE90 wasn't even on the page at 11.00; it did appear at 11.01. I instantly applied it to my payment page, and it said "Cannot be applied to this reservation. Read T&C"

I'm 100% sure I was totally within T&C and timely. The promo just wasn't designed to actually WORK for my flawlessly executed effort. No idea what the algo is, or how the process is being supported.

Thoughtful conclusion: put no stock into Expedia Cyber Promo, concentrate on something else

Any chance Expedia employees who have access to the codes are redeeming before they are posted to site?

This dimension of theft wouldn't be worth their job risk. But they're likely overpaid vis-a-vis their ability to technically design and successfully run this kind of an intricate promo grid. I can imagine a slight fat finger in coding all of these conditions. Testing/troubleshooting is non-practical. So consumers are pissed off for not succeeding - big deal
