Plus & Premier

You can actually apply and get both cards, but I spaced it out in 90 days for each app. I got approved for both and have both cards. Will be cancelling the Plus card and keeping the Premier card.

Business and Personal here.
You can after the first year 2014 have your wife apply and she get a business card and personal card and you can then be her companion...

Thanks for the information! I have a few colleagues at work who missed out on the last 50k offer and were hoping it'd come around again.

Too bad on the min spend, but it's definitely doable, even with two cards.

I was just approved for my first Chase card (Freedom) - what are the chances of them approving me again this soon?

1. Hotel transfers or credit card spend. Note that point transfers from Chase do NOT count.
2. See above.
3. No.

Can spouses transfer Southwest points to each other?

Also, anyone know the expiration of these offers?

No. But you can use points to book tickets for whomever you want.

It sounds like you can get two personal or one personal and one business with 90 days between application? But by then wouldn;t the 50k promo be over?

Can I apply for either the scenario above the same day and take advantage of only one credit pull?

I got lucky. The premier offer of 50000 went away for awhile after I got the Plus offer, then it came back in March and I jumped on it to get 100,000 points. If you're in a hurry I would suggest doing 1 personal and 1 biz.

If I apply for the card, am I going to get hit with the annual fee on my first month right away? Or will it wait for next year?

first year annual fee NOT waived = you will need to pay for first year = you will need to prepay annual fee for the upcoming year = you will get billed within first month

It was never waived in any of their offers. I would gladly pay $100 to get almost $835 in airfare. Just sayin...
