If you buy a ticket with WS dollars in Econ fare category, can you still bid for upgrade?

WS is currently offering a 15% on upgrade bids. It is a promotion that will last for the full summer season.

Does anyone have feedback on bids that are likely to succeed in upgrading from Premium to J on a 787-9 going YYZ-YYC?

The bid range is $130-$300. ($300 was the price difference between W and J at booking).

It's right on the page where you make the bid below the slider. It says ->

Place an offer now to take advantage of a 15% discount on pricing only valid until 09 Sep 2021

Interesting. Didn't see it in the app when I placed a bid earlier.

I bid for an upgrade from Y Econ to J on the YYZ-YVR 787-9 flight for CAD$ 269+Tax and I got it

That's probably the sweetest deal I have ever had for such a long trans-continental flight

One new thing I learned about Bid Upgrades: If your bid is accepted and your CC is charged, no refund will apply to you incase you change your booking to a different date and you will be booked in economy class and need to make a new bid.

Question Bidding on an upgrade to Business

Hello folks,

My wife and I are flying from Toronto to London Gatwick on the dreamliner, and I have a few questions.

I purchased premium seating but received an offer to upgrade to business (PODS), The offer ranges from $350 per guest to $650 per guest. Is this range lower than normal because I already have premium seats, or someone who purchased a regular seat have the same offer range?

What would be an acceptable offer (There are 9 business class seats left and the flight leaves in 2 weeks)?

Is business class full service now with Covid and all?

Thanks for any advice!

A friend of mine flew that flight a week ago and he told everything is back to normal, including full service and champagne, with the exception of wearing the mask for the hole duration of the flight.

I initially paid $3100 round trip from Halifax, in premium cabin for both tickets. With 9 vacancies in business I'm thinking I'll bid $400 per ticket for the flight over, any thoughts/think that's enough?

Thanks!

Whenever I fly WS I always bid the lowest amount in the bidding options and luckily I always get upgraded!

I think $ 400 should be a reasonable bid with all that number of empty seats.
