coming up on the 3-month mark, perhaps the bugs are dissipating, or perhaps they finally know we're truly watching and have applied themselves better. CLT posted four days in a row over 70%, which is almost recognizable as offering a "schedule". Even PHL managed a couple days over 60.

Monday 5/21: departures on-time 39% PHL, 41% CLT
Tuesday: 51% PHL, 66% CLT
Wednesday: 46% PHL, 60% CLT
Thursday: 49% PHL, 54% CLT
Friday: 47% PHL, 61% CLT
Saturday: 49% PHL, 78% CLT
Sunday: 59% PHL, 75% CLT
Monday 5/28: 64% PHL, 72% CLT
Tuesday: 60% PHL, 71% CLT
Wednesday 5/30: 65% PHL, 68% CLT

alas, with the end of May came an abrupt end to the good news. ironically, the big FAA meltdown on the 8th managed to show as no significant degradation, in the rotting garbage mound of a week that US's PHL flyers were already having...

Thursday 5/31: departures on-time 56% PHL, 66% CLT
Friday: 30% PHL, 50% CLT
Saturday: 38% PHL, 54% CLT
Sunday 6/3: 49% PHL, 59% CLT

the "on time" means those that left on time, plus any that left no more than 15 minutes late. these are East system, mainline only figures.

Gus the second-most-famous-groundhog asks that we remind PHL customers: they face better odds of winning a prize in the PA Lottery's Cash Extravanganza (1 in 3.06) or Million Dollar Blockbuster (1 in 3.24) instant scratch-off games than they face of their flight departing "on time". so stock up on those tickets while waiting!

And that's only mainline. If you want a real gasp take a look at the express carriers on flightstats. Much of this, I gather, has more to do with inadequate crew resources than the reservations system. However considering how dastardly the reaccom process has become under shares, I'm really weary.

Yesterday big winners alone:
Republic 42% on time with 28 cancellations (3%)
PSA 50% on time with 31 cancellations (9%) !!

PS. to Martin33, thanks for continuing to aggregating these stats for us.

Much sympathy goes to all of those who had to fly US in June through the hubs, which started the month in the sewer, descended to the rings of hades, and finished in the sewer. PHL is out of the 30's mainly and into the 20's, and over the last 3 weeks their *best* day was 39% on time departures. CLT hasn't seen a day over 45% in that period either. here's the day by day to see how the rest of June measured up:

Monday 6/11: on-time mainline departures 29% PHL, 27% CLT
Tuesday: 20% PHL, 30% CLT
Wednesday: 12% PHL, 21% CLT
Thursday: 6% PHL, 17% CLT
Friday: 22% PHL, 41% CLT
Saturday: 30% PHL, 37% CLT
Sunday 6/17: 29% PHL, 39% CLT

Monday 6/18: 23% PHL, 38% CLT
Tuesday: 26% PHL, 39% CLT
Wednesday: 32% PHL, 37% CLT
Thursday: 19% PHL, 29% CLT
Friday: 26% PHL, 45% CLT
Saturday: 39% PHL, 37% CLT
Sunday 6/24: 30% PHL, 42% CLT

Monday 6/25: 27% PHL, 31% CLT
Tuesday: 20% PHL, 39% CLT
Wednesday: 14% PHL, 27% CLT
Thursday: 20% PHL, 22% CLT
Friday: 21% PHL, 24% CLT
Saturday: 29% PHL, 27% CLT
Sunday 7/01: 34% PHL, 27% CLT

Tell me again how wonderful qik is? It would be interesting to see the comparison of ontime departures compared with last year for the same time period while using sabre.

how low do the numbers have to go before someone is sacked and something serious can be done about acting like there is a "schedule" to be kept.

Martin, thanks for posting these. It is truly unbelievable how bad these numbers are.

I am taking an AA Plat challenge and honestly the recent experiences combined with hard numbers like these make me glad that my days with US are likely numbered. Even in its darkest days of BK2 US got me where I needed to be on time most of the time. Now its a crapshoot and I don't have time for that.

I would not blame any ff who bails. The US operation can NOT be counted on.

having even one week where the most important operation center performs between 11 and 33% might be considered a full-on crisis by the management at any other business.

after starting the week on Monday just bare notches above zero (11 departures out of 150 left on time), PHL had two of its best back-to-back days in a long time on Friday and Saturday:

Monday 7/16: on-time mainline departures 7% PHL, 39% CLT
Tuesday: 38% PHL, 49% CLT
Wednesday: 30% PHL, 47% CLT
Thursday: 31% PHL, 37% CLT
Friday: 52% PHL, 54% CLT
Saturday: 56% PHL, 55% CLT
Sunday 7/22: 45% PHL, 69% CLT

CLT performance has taken a turn for the better, with many days in the 60's and a couple of 70's. it's almost suggestive of having a schedule. PHL remains the Dark Pit.

Monday 7/23: on-time mainline departures 48% PHL, 70% CLT
Tuesday: 63% PHL, 71% CLT
Wednesday: 61% PHL, 61% CLT
Thursday: 47% PHL, 66% CLT
Friday: 24% PHL, 52% CLT
Saturday: 28% PHL, 62% CLT
Sunday 7/29: 13% PHL, 49% CLT

Monday 7/30: on-time mainline departures 13% PHL, 28% CLT
Tuesday: 40% PHL, 43% CLT
Wednesday: 56% PHL, 60% CLT
Thursday: 48% PHL, 64% CLT
Friday: 33% PHL, 61% CLT
Saturday: 57% PHL, 67% CLT
Sunday 8/5: 30% PHL, 60% CLT
