Insurance

$0 - 21st Century Auto Insurance (if available in your state)

$0 - Sentry Insurance (if available in your state)

For the two insurance hits above, does one simply need to request for a quote to get a hit or is this suggesting that we actually buy insurance in order to get a hit?

I'm in the process of converting 36 DM's to 2 Iceland Air miles on points.com.
When this is complete, I'm going to convert my 2 IA miles back to 1 DM.

I hope this works.

I know what you are saying..... when trying to enter my accounts, sometimes it took multiple attempts. I sent them an email about AMEX and got some sort of sappy answer back that, yes, they were aware of the 'problems' and were working to resolve them and please don't respond to that email - just a generic sort of thing. Maybe they are having a tremendous influx of new members and can't handle it. Does make one wonder about the site though.

Tracking Spreadsheet

Last year a very generous FT member put together a spreadsheet to help people track their progress. I updated it with this year's information and made a few other tweaks that I thought were useful. I've uploaded it to Google Docs and put a link below for anyone else who wants to use it. Please PM any comments or issues to me and I will try to fix as quickly as possible.

Thanks Again (restaurant.com)

$1.20 - Thanks Again ($4 Restaurant.com certificate @ 60%-80% off)

It looks like the latest coupon "CLEARANCE" for use at restaurant.com has expired. does anyone have a new coupon to use? also, how do u know that using a coupon does not disqualify the transaction counting as a hit for thanks again?

Not sure about Sentry since the link wasn't working for me and I don't think it's available in my state.

Last year I did the 21st century and only did a quote. It counted as a hit and took about 3 weeks to post.

Netflix

$8.99 - Netflix (1 month - must be new address and credit card)

For netflix, in the past 2 months, I have signed up for the AA offer to get 2,500miles (used 1 cc for that). Then I signed up for the United offer to get 4,000miles (using my united chase cc and shipping to a 2nd address); I still have not received the miles for this yet and it has been 2 weeks.

If I sign up for netflix using the US air,
1) can i sign up for it using someone else's name and address but have it credited to my US air account or must the names match btwn US Air and Netflix?
2) also, when you say must be new address in the above, do you refer to billing address, shipping address, or both?

$0 - e-Miles

So you get a hit just for signing up for e-miles or is there something else you have to do?

Dividend Miles Shopping Mall -

so I found that Cabela's is offering miles for purchase of a gift card, as low as $5.00. so i need some stuff at Cabela's anyway. I entered Cabela's through the DM Mall link...but I see nowhere to add my DM number nor do I see any reference to DM after entering the store....so...what is the tribal experience here? Will miles/hit get credited? Thanks

I believe that you have to transfer points from e-miles to DM during the period of the promotion. That would require earning enough points to transfer them.

A transfer that I had initiated before I knew about this promotion posted today but the activity date is in August and I don't think it will count.

16 $73 21960 $0.0033

32 $489 87191 $0.0061
36 $676 107591 $0.0067

I am hoping when the current "coming soon" offers and a little luck I will be able to get all 100,000 points for under $500.

This plan involves 6 car rentals at $22 each and 5 $47 hotel rooms (My most expensive hit)
Very impressive. Here I added incremental mile price:

4 $0 4000 $0.0000 0.0
8 $2 7710 $0.0003 0.0005
12 $26 13710 $0.0019 0.004
16 $73 21960 $0.0033 0.0056
20 $154 32040 $0.0048 0.008
24 $282 45791 $0.0062 0.0093
28 $388 66891 $0.0058 0.005
32 $489 87191 $0.0061 (0.0056 fixed) 0.005
36 $676 107591 $0.0067 (0.0063 fixed) 0.0092

I would probably just stop at 32 hits. Interestingly, more expensive miles at 21-24 hits are unavoidable; they needed to open the way to 0.5c miles at 25-32 hits.
