Seems to be working for me now, first time in a week.

Thank you for succinctly putting this into perspective. I had started to become complacent and was of the "give them some time" mentality. I haven't been able to accesss the e-upgrade window for several weeks. But you're absolutely correct. In most thriving businesses, this situation would be a crisis and people would be scrambling to get it fixed, and keeping the disserviced customers informed of the progress.

Still not working for me....

If anybody for UA web support is following this thread (hah!), another data point: While I usually connect via DSL, I just tried with a dialup connection (and so, of course, from a different i.p. address). No joy still. Eupgrades summary still gives that stupid error message. Tried from both IE and Netscape.

gregseattle Jan 8, 2002 1:05 am

nope. not working. No information accessible through the web on upgrade status.
Not with dsl home line or through alternative dialup strategy.

grrrr.......

Try clearing out browser cache and temp files.

I'm a technical guy, so it really upsets me that it never occured to me to do exactly what JS1K recommended-- and it works!

Thanks!

Glad it worked for you. I just tried do the same (for the third time), and it didn't (on either IE or Netscape).

Was pretty sure I'd already tried that. I just went and clear everything, but it still doesn't work for me.

kenjih Jan 8, 2002 8:25 am

me neither. i did a pretty thorough job of clearing browser cache, cookies etc and its still broke.

PremEx Jan 8, 2002 8:37 am

Clearing or not clearing makes no difference for me. It either works or doesn't and this morning's status is:

It doesn't. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Even on a virgin computer via a different ISP that has never visited united.com in it's life.

eupgrade summary is still not working as of this morning... cleaned up all cache, cookies, and all other etc....

I just got my My Mileage Plus email with the link to the Mileage web page. The email had listed the miles that I did yesterday, but the link back to the website hangs just like before.

FCfree Jan 8, 2002 2:48 pm

I have noted that the system has been up and down over the past couple of weeks. Sometimes you can see your miles summary and sometimes you can't. But, you can never see your E-Upgrade summary/detail.

Its amazing that they can keep the reservation system up (which makes $$$) but they can't keep the miles and upgrade parts working.

Funny how money makes all the difference, isn't it? <smile>

PremEx Jan 8, 2002 3:13 pm

Like I said, it's all over the place. I've not been having a problem with my Mileage Summary at the web site. For me, it's just the Upgrade Summary that's here and gone several times a day.
