Re-book? Go by bus?

They are terrible, evil, awful aircraft.

I agree with posts 2, 3 & 4. There are no good seats and most are miserable. If it isn't a short flight, next time book a different route if possible.

If you're tall (over 5'4" ) don't sit next to the window. You'll hit your head.

See if you can take a different flight operated by any equipment other than the CRJ 200.

Great, I've got DEN-ONT on this bad boy. Luckily my partner is being jammed into the window while most of my 6'3" frame will be jutting into the aisle (row 2).

At 6'2" I find 1B to be the 'best' seat on the CRJ-200. You can cross a leg and slightly stretch into the aisle. Plus you are one of the first off the plane. The tray table is in the armrest slightly reducing seat width. Row 1 is frequently blocked until online checkin opens up. The exit row only offers slightly more room, but aisles do have the benefit of armrest that goes up so you don't feel so cramped in.

I believe that Skywest blocks row 1 until check-in, but Mesa allows pax to reserve row 1. Not sure about the other UAX carriers.

As far as window seats, the cabin does curve in a lot but I am 5'8" and I don't 'hit my head.' In fact I like te proximity of the fuselage because I can lean against it, close my eyes, and dream about being in a real plane.

The CRJ-200 gives all of the ambiance of a greyhound bus without any of the comfort.

The other downside of window seats for normal sized folk is that you can't see out the window as it is mounted too low. I am 5'10 and whenever I have been crammed into a CRJ-200 window seat, in addition to having to cock my head so it fits in the plane, I've also noticed that I could see better out of the window on the other side of the plane.

I love window seats, but the CRJ-200 is the one plane upon which I will make sure to get an aisle if at all possible.

This is correct and I always make sure to check in online 24 hours before my SkyWest flight so I can snag one of the row 1 aisle seats. In my opinion, the best seat on the CRJ as you can get the hell off the miserable thing as quickly as possible after landing.

The contents would be a single post:

Don't.

I think you're CRJ safe on the DEN-ONT route. I've never seen it operated by anything but a TED A320. When boarding just look to your right to Gate 201 and give a pitying smile to those (like me) who are flying up to SFO for an hour of CRJ hell.

WOW these planes sound pretty bad. Are they worse than the Embraer 120?

What makes this plane so bad is it the size of the seat? Seat Guru says row 1 has limited leg room.

All rows have limited leg room and limited shoulder room.

There is a thread recently comparing the EMB-145 to the CRJ-200. By far the majority preferred the EMB-145. I have not flown a EMB-120.

I love the CRJ200. I prefer the upper deck, seat 83A in first class. Truly exquisite service.

Either that, or this entire airplane sucks hind teet and should be permanently banned from the UX fleet. One of the two...

If Seatguru doesn't show the whole cabin as RED, then Seatguru is wrong.
