CRJ 200 Seating Question
On some of my upcoming trips, the aircraft is a CRJ-200. Being 6'3", I have looked at seatguru but doesn't look there are any great seats. Any thoughts?
Thanks

1B provides the ability to stick your feet into the galley by sitting just slightly at an angle. If you can handle the reduced width, that is probably the best option. Otherwise, there is no real benefit to the exit rows as far as leg room. Just make sure to pick an aisle seat - and the aisle arm rests in the CRJ2s can be raised.

Avoid row 1. IIRC there is not cutout for your feet, and it's a little close. I like row 8 (exit). I'm not sure if it has a little extra leg room or not.

They all suck.
I personally prefer Row 8 (exit row), only because if the flight isn't completely full, the odds of getting an empty seat next to you are greatly increased, as non-1P-or-higher can't select those seats in advance.

This thread

has previous wisdom on your question.
But, in short, if possible book ANYTHING other than a CRJ200, and if not, try your best to get 1B or 1C day of checkin
They are odious, nasty, and the worst aircraft in the UA/UAX fleet. To wit:

No Exit
I think you're right. I'm 6'3" too, and there really aren't any good seats. Grab an isle seat and grit your teeth...

I'm 6 foot 2 inches and book the exit row. I find it is the most spacious (maybe I'm wrong though, given what others have said here).

I'm 6'1 and have been stuck doing a lot of IAD-ROC, LGA-IAD on the 200's lately. I torture myself because I like the window but as others have said 1B and 1C are your best bets. The exit row holds no real advantage, but it might be the last filled.

I am 6'3" and like others here I used to book the exit row. I haven't taken a tape measure to it, but I've studied it pretty closely and am convinced it doesn't offer any more leg room. I don't like the exit row simply because it's so far back in the plane. Again like others, I take an aisle seat as close to the front as possible (and on every other plane, I prefer windows).

However, I do book the exit rows because 1) general members cannot select those in advance--only 1P or higher; and 2) they're generally the last to be filled a the gate...All of which increases one's chance of having the pair of seats to themselves.

I just try to sit in row 1 so I can be the first one off.

I've moved a few seating questions from another thread into this one to consolidate the information; thanks.
How ofter do you get the "we need X people to move from the first few rows for weight and balance" request?
If the load looks light, I will try for 8 B/C or 12 C. if it looks full, I go for 1B/C(Skywest blocks these until OLCI).
