I am truly... shocked. It's great to hear agents are actually following the rules, and not only that but going the extra mile! I never thought I'd see the day!^

Pfffft. If he can get the uber-crabby IAD ladies to freely give out drink chits, changing the Constitution will be no big deal.

On a serious note - it's nice to see that FT'ers can get things changed. One wonders if anyone at WHQ actually read/paid attention to the zillion-page thread that started it all.

I agree. That was my thought from post #1 of this thread. @:-)

May well have been why he vamoosed pretty fast when security was called? A 1K card means nada to those folks.

It may well be RCC agent looked at his MP info where an under 21 aged member would show?

I am curious ... if Mum, Dad and a couple of 12 year old kids all on biz tickets front the desk can they DEMAND 8 chits?

I'd guess not with the US supply of alcohol laws being as they are?

Would anyone here make a song and dance if their 12 year kids were not handed chits?

Anyway FWIW, my track record at IAD RCC's, despite probably 100 visits before It'l flights is that they are more co-operative than most other RCC re chits.

Indeed we are usually connecting or starting in IAD, then flying to left coast and then SYD. In such cases they do not HAVE to offer any chits (as left coast is our "gateway") but have always got them pretty much.

I am going to merge this thread with the "Battle" thread since it is basically a follow-up and contains many references thereto.

When they said yes, they were each handed two drink chits!

Pigs are flying. Cats and dogs lying together. This is historic!
I was entering the D8 club about 4pm last Sunday. There were 4 or 5 parties checking in ahead of me and the hostess was offering drink chits to everyone who qualified - and automatically handing two chits to all who accepted.

I am flying down to EZE tonight and will be sure to let you all know if I get my drink chits when I enter the RCC.

Does the EZE RCC offer drink chits also?

In my recent experience, IAD RCC ladies have been very nice. Drink chits are always offered.

There is a self-pour bar. No chits.
