Had requested 500s on the flight about 2 weeks ago and waitlisted. Called the 1K desk last night and confirmed that I was on standby but that it was looking bad.
By the time I was at the gate today, first was full and monitors were no longer showing the u/g standby list.
So far, 0/1 in the new UDU world.

Added info useful-if you booked pre-3/19, did you call to make sure upgrade requested
I wonder how many of the failures listed above were due to the glitch of pre-3/19 rez NOT getting upgrade requests added? Like others have reported, I had to call to get the upgrade requested for a couple of reservations made pre-3/19, and now they show upgrade as "pending" - those made post 3/19 have shown that automatically.
Maybe those who reported failures could edit posts to mention whether rez was made before 3/19, and if so, whether they had called to insure the upgrade Lirequested. I wonder whether UA has managed to correct this glitch yet...
