Nope, just counting what people report here on my fingers and toes...

Might do a plane/elite count if i get some time over the weekend.

As an aside: I have to apologize if I sounded a bit irked in my last posting. I had a bad day and just over reacted to some of the responses. I realize that this is a forum and people are merely trying to make suggestions for improvement to increase usefulness. This is not only helpful but should be applauded since that's the entire purpose of doing any of this. I shouldnt have mistaken any of it for criticism. Please continue to make your suggestions.

Upgrade: "Denied" at around 60 hours, or so, but waitlisted. Not entirely sure what that means. Is it denied? Or is it waitlisted? Or is it both? I will update if cleared at that gate.

IADLayover can you tell me how I can find out how many upgrade seats are available in a given flight? Appreciate it.

Here are my stats

Status: 1P

Failure
Booking code: S
SFO-LAX
6A-Noon
Aircraft: A319
1 GM companion

Success
Booking code: S
LAX-SFO

I think in the original post you forgot to ask about companion. We should probably include this fact to improve data.

Success and Failure

Elite Status: 1P
Routing: DEN-IAD
Date/Time: 3/24 @ 6:00 am
FLT: 154
Fare Class: L
Aircraft: Not sure, but there were only 16 F-cabin seats on it.
When Cleared: Didn't.

Pretty full flight with a canceled DEN-IAD leg the night before. Only 1 person got an upgrade called I believe. Not sure though because there was no monitor at the gate.

Elite Status: 1P
Routing: IAD-PWM
Date/Time: 3/24 @5:02
FLT: 7356
Fare Class: L
Aircraft: Something small with only 6 F-cabin seats
When Cleared: At Customer Service

Haven't flown this one yet, still waiting at IAD. But I was confirmed on the 12:21 pm flight, but I missed it due to the weather in denver making my flight leave late. But I missed it and originally they had me re-booked the next day, which is ridiculous. The Prem Exec MP hotline said she couldn't do anything as the flight was sold out, despite 3 F-cabin seats showing. So the Customer Service agent at IAD called her supervisor and was generally an angel and put me on the next flight, in first, since I was upgraded on my missed flight. So I guess UDU worked in a roundabout way.

Checked in at kiosk, changed seat from 1A to 2B to avoid front cabin wall. Full flight. One of the most annoying First Class passengers I have sat in front of in a LONG time on this flight. Very loud and dropped his overhead storage on my head TWICE. Made a scene when he could not find the restroom on the airplane.

Wow! There's only one aisle on the A320 and you can pretty much see front to back and there are no walls in between!

4 segments, 1 Comp UPGRD

1P, four segments this week my first segments since UDU program started.

3/22 LAX-DEN 2 cabin 767, no upgrade given
3/22 DEN-TYS upgraded to F on explus CRJ700.
3/24 TYS-ORD was single class EMB 145. N/A.
3/24 ORD-LAX Was #7 on list of 16 for 0 possible seats at the gate, no upgrade. A320 so not many seats to begin with.

Conclusion, when flying hub to hub little chance due to 1k competition, especially on A319s, 320s. Flying hub to a non major UA destination like Knoxville, competing with only other 1Ps and not that many of them, good chance at an upgrade.

Next opportunity is LAX-BOS-LAX with a 319 on the return leg, I dont like my chances.
