Somewhat tangentially related... UA has quietly launched a trial with Row44 on N594UA.

Anyone get a chance to try this? How much is it? My understanding is that Row44 will be slower (both in data rate and latency) than GoGo by nature of the technology being used. Row44 is satellite based where as GoGo is air-to-ground based.

I concur and yes 
Actually very fast on my ancient [n.b. ancient] G4 Powerbook 667mhz DVI running leopard 10.5.8 and streaming KCBS radio into my headphones.
Just one quirk.....I couldn't sign up/on using Safari and had to use Firefox but once signed on/up it was back to Safari.
