The last P.S. flight I was on (a while ago) was when they were just introducing the service and it was free to all pax on that flight.

I used it for 10 minutes, didn't care too much for internet on the plane. I like "unplugging."

Free session if you book a car with Limores, better than nothing and might help

Have they added gogo to any other flights besides the transcontinental p.s. ones? I'm flying BOS-LAX and want to get some work done.

Kinda un-related to United but I'm curious if any foursquare users checked-in on GoGo during one of your flights and get the "Mile High" badge?

http://www.4squarebadges.com/foursqu...gh-gogo-badge/

I checked in and never got a badge.

Are there power outlets in BC (even in the exit row 9)?

Also, how is the wifi speed?

Yes, every seat in C has a power outlet. On my two p.s. flights in September, gogo speed was pretty good. Might not want to download iTunes over the connection, but it was fast enough to let me on FT and other websites..

I have used GoGo on Airtran and found speed more than acceptable so I would not think UA would be much/any different. I likely would not stream video but any connections to my corprate VPN were no different than being in a hotel, RCC, etc.

roughly standard DSL like speeds -- downloads at 500 -1,000 kilobits/sec in most of the tests I have done -- likely to vary depending on the rest of the passengers activity. Not good enough for streaming video but decent for most everything else

That sounds pretty good. I wonder how long until all flights have wifi.

I wonder if the connect will allow internet chess...

The system is based on the EvDO Rev.A standard so you get roughly 1.5Mbit shared bandwidth for the aircraft. Generally it is fine though one or two folks streaming media can suck up a big chunk of that bandwidth in a hurry.

I too got a email promotion for using GoGo on my upcoming flights, but I cannot tell if the flights I'm on have the service. I searched using SeatGuru as well as Flyer Expert.
Anyone know if there is a site that would specify if a particular flight has the GoGo service?

all P.S. flights do, and all the rest don't. P.S. flights are 3-class on JFK-LAX or JFK-SFO.
