Reputedly, UA wants to bring showers back into the UA Clubs. The new EWR club has them, and the renovated DEN club is supposed to have them too. I believe the SFO rotunda club was due to be renovated along with the rest of the F concourse, but that project's been put off indefinitely.
It would be nice to be able to take a shower at SFO before flying off to Singapore.

Well with the return of some UC showers UA seems to be doing that -- however, for flights short of overnight transcons, one can question the need for domestic showers. Note many domestic clubs / lounges of domestic carriers don't have showers. So maybe just the hubs / international gateways? But this debate has been had many times and this is the wrong thread for this discussion, so will move to the UC shower thread

As you mentioned, showers are hard to do as a small retrofit.
My guess it will be years for SFO.
And the major business class customers are well covered by the PL. (But transcon customers would also like showers.) So low urgency.

As you mentioned, showers are hard to do as a small retrofit.
My guess it will be years for SFO.

No going to happen, the lounge is intended for J flyers only and increasing access is the last thing it needs.
That lounge is far too small to have showers, it would be a better use of space to increase the seating if there was more space to be had, And that lounge is from 2015, 7 years ago.

I was at SFO UC E about a month ago. It's indeed small. Just speaking from my mind about what can possibly be done to give SFO a bit of love.

I would think they could figure out a way to get showers into the rotunda club. The T3-F renovation is more than just a remodel it's also supposed to include an expansion in between former Gates 72-75 and the hall with the bouncy walkways on the way to the rotunda. That could free up more space for the UA Club to expand.
Other options would be to put them in the G lounge, where they used to be when it was an IFL lounge. Also, with UA getting gates in T2 and AS eventually moving to T1, perhaps UA would consider opening a new club in there.

Looks like the plans call for bumping out the area where the Yankee Pier is and making a much more substantial post-security headhouse area. I don't know what the rotunda UA Club plans were, but I think it's safe to say that the club would not go untouched.

There's a $1 billion plan on the books to renovate T3-F to match T3-E as well as expand the footprint. Construction was supposed to start in June 2020, but it has been postponed indefinitely. The city extended the leases of the current concessions tenants until at least the end of 2023. I'm sure it'll happen at some point, but it's anyone's guess as to when.

Not sure what this would involve (probably a !@%)!@#* !)@load of money and red tape), but they should really build that area up and put the new UA Club there. You'd be much less space-constrained building above the existing concourse.
