I have not been in the UC G Pier lounge since it was converted from the Global First Lounge. There were two showers in the back opposite the entrance to the men's and women's restrooms. They would not have gained much space ripping them out. What did they do with the space?

I hope they delay it to infinity. Looks like a multi-year project that will render much of T3 unusable for a lengthy period of time. It ain't broke, don't fix it!

One could easily add showers to the Rotunda Club by replacing the gender neutral restrooms with showers as it already has plumbing.

Nothing, as far as I can tell, except lock the doors.

There is? Where is it? I only saw entrances to make and female restrooms.

Or the area where the copier/Fedex drop box was/were, the work carrel nook, and office next to them on the same side of the hallway. I'm not sure existing plumbing is as much as a prequisite since the E/F concourse is on basically a pier. Access for plumbing from underneath might be pretty easy. Plus, new work is often easier/cheaper to design/build than trying to incorporate old footprints/plumbing.

I forgot about that! However, it's still not a lot of space. I can't imagine UA installing enough showers in that space for the demand at peak hours.

Nice way to capitalize on the lack of showers at UCs.

I was there last week and I agree, the space is unused. 😊

I think you overestimate the demand for showers.

The gender neutral restrooms - which are very large with their own sinks - are across from each other right before you get to the bar and the regular restrooms.

I prefer them as I can stow my items in the sink area and it is very private

I always used those to change my clothes before boarding the red-eye flights

Probably, but I think UA taking over more of T2 was a big part of the interim plan. If they took over more gates in T2 and maybe put in a UA Club there, that would certainly make up for any construction. Let's face it, T3 is perfectly functional but way out of date, especially compared to T3-E, T2, or the new T1.
