Are you sure that *A lounge at LAX is open currently? United Club at LAX is not a bad choice.

Great question, haven't even looked yet. UA Club is great but we have 2.5 hour layover so happy to wander.

According to UA App, *A lounge is closed. The Air Canada Maple Leaf lounge at T6 is also closed according to AC website.

Is the AC lounge in T6 at LAX swamped by UA domestic *G flyers?

I would normally go to the *A lounge in TBIT, if I have time, but I have to check luggage with UA on an upcoming trip, so not worth hiking back to TBIT. So, I thought that I would check out the AC Maple Leaf lounge. Is it any good? Crowded?

I haven't been since before Covid, but I went a few times and it was nice, and never too crowded. Here's two pics from 2019:

Not sure it’s different now, but several years ago it was still policy that under 2 years of age children do not count as additional guests at Star Gold lounges being accessed on the basis of Star Gold status. But that was for OAL*Gs at least.

Occasionally swamped by AC flyers. Not many UA *G, as already noted.

That is still true

Any accompanying person over the age of two is considered a guest. Children under the age of two may accompany the customer to the lounge and are not considered as guests.

Can a United Star Gold member access other non-UA lounges (Star Alliances lounges) in US while travelling only domestic. If so, is there one in IAH.

The easy ones for * Gold access as an economy passenger are IAD and LAX, in my opinion. There are a few others like BOS, ORD, or EWR but you have to go pretty far and/or through security again. I don't recall there being one in IAH.

There should be a wiki with all Star alliance non UA club/lounges for all domestic airports, a list like this:

IAD: TK, LH
EWR: LH, SAS
MIA: TK

Can we make one??

Star alliance app is outdated.
