Anyone know what is going on with UA1646 (YVR-IAH): 2 Nov. 2018 ?
My wife and 2 small children are supposed to be on this flight today. Currently showing a 5 hour delay. Expert Flyer says the delay is due to environmental damage, anyone know what this could mean? The A/C has been sitting at YVR since last night.1646/02NOV

Got an email earlier today that engine inspection and delayed from 1005pm to 1205. Now estimated as 0100 owing to extended maintenance.Booted out of Polaris lounge so now in United Club. Means will be too late for Arrivals Lounge at LHR probably...:-(.

Impressively, the late aeroplane operating 863 to SYD was turned in 1 hour 25 minutes to fly UA100 to IAH - kudos to the UAL operation in SYD.

Was on UA78 4Nov and NRT-EWR was indeed cancelled. Started in BKK so a long trip �� via LAX thrown in as well. Arrived 5 hours late. Sure many had it worse.
