Well, it is evident that 1K *actually* gets priority in the call queue, as my hold time seems to be significantly less than what others are reporting. 40 min vs. over 2 hours! ^^^

Looking at some of the comments here, I can see why some at UA call some elites over-entitled. We are experience crazy weather at multiple hubs for days, it is totally understandable.

I think if you walked around an airport today in the east you would hear similiar or worse comments. The flying public just seems expect travel to be weather immune -- the lesson of the previous year seems to have a half life of 6-months.

I have been traveling this week and the response to these storms has been terrible in general even for those with status. The phone waits have been hrs. and there are so few actual United employees anymore that people are stuck calling in and the ones that are there are somstressed they can barely help. The best way to get help is not by calling but by the United Club people. The lady in Portland was amazing today and so friendly! She reminded me of what United used to be before the merger. I would avoid calling in as it hardly helps.

It is one thing if flights are not available, but I do not think a 3 hour and 36 minute wait (and counting) is an acceptable business practice for a premier line.

52 minutes wait as Platinum, I hung up, crappy service for canceling a PHX-IAH flight due to blizzards, nice how they waited til nearly midnight to cancel when most pax probably asleep.

To add: when I checked in I had the message about whether I would accept $200 for flying later, maybe I should have accepted!

Called yesterday at 11 am CET, so in the middle of the night for almost the entire US. Even then I was around 40 minutes on hold.

I'm only Gold, so I guess the wait (now 2 hours 15 minutes and counting, in the middle of the night, 3:15 am) is par for the course...
