Old (Classic) Slogan, "Come Fly the Friendly Skies Again", Returns to the New UNITED.

AFTER almost a 20-year hiatus, United Airlines is once again urging travelers to “fly the friendly skies.”

I think the term "FINO" needs to be used here. Friendly In Name Only. A quote doesn't change a culture of cost cutting and benefits reduction for most loyal customers. Whatever.

Hi anc-ord772,

Yes, it’s true. We’re proud to welcome back “Fly the Friendly Skies” as a cherished but updated part of our brand, and excited to share even more about it with you tomorrow and in the coming days. Keep an eye on the United Hub starting late morning for more details, and sneak previews of what’s to come…

I'm glad it's back, but remember, actions speak louder than words.

Oh lord, are we going to have to listen to co-worker Jeff talk down to us about the "friendly skies" on the intro video?

When I first started watching the new television advertisement, I thought it was something from the 90s. Then I noticed the IFE. Bravo, United. http://nyti.ms/1aXMs0n

I really love the orchestral Rhapsody in Blue association United has. Sure, it may not be the glory days, but still is a great positive link to the brand.

Man, tough crowd! I think this is wonderful news!

While FF's may not be happy with the program, I find FA's, pilots, and the experience a pretty friendly one. I think the slogan fits.

Bring back the service, put the credit card holders in their proper place in line, then we can talk.
