No access from airside, only access outside of security.
There is one Subway airside in T3 right near where the UA gates end and the construction zone begins (gates 70-71??) At least it was there a month or 2 ago. A Mexican food

BK is the other end of that circle near the DOM-INT walkway (gates 72-75 I think)

Where did you see that information? The floorplans that I have seen for pier E did not show a United Club. However, it might be on an upper level or near the existing gates, just outside of E.

same source that mentioned UX probably won't leave T1 when the rest of T3 opens also stated the other pier will get its own United Club.

Hard to see AA leaving T2 until T1 renovations are completed.
But, there are not enough gates to accommodate all the US flights without some serious juggling/cutting. Most likely is a split terminal thingy like UA.

How many gates do you need to operate 28 arrivals / departures per day?

Is T2 completely full?

Didn't realize it was that low. AA's gates are not fully utilized, so those limited flights could fit. The only problem I see is the wave of morning departures. At the moment, most AA gates are occupied for morning departures with JFK, DFW (2), ORD, MIA and LAX. Adding 5 more... PHL (2), CLT (2) and PHX) would make an interesting gate juggling act, but probably doable. Agree with uastarflyer, some of those departures will be trimmed post-merger.

New construction in T3 check in / elite security area?

Does anybody have any information on the new construction in T3, between premier security and the check in counters?

It looks like a large area, pushing in to the terminal and to where GS / Int'l F have their exclusive security line.

Could this be a GS / VIP check in or holding area?

Last: It looks like this new construction has consumed the Burger King!

No more greasy croissant sandwiches for breakfast?

Alas yes, being stranded on 7/6 due to that Asiana crash I sure noticed the closure and missed the BK option. And the Subway down by E is gone too.

Noooooooo!!!! I've been grounded for six weeks, so hadn't seen this. I could always count on BK for my 42 oz Diet Coke fix...

That Subway at T3 airside has been closed for awhile and the entire food court where it was located is now behind sheet rock. The Subway pre-security is still open in T3.

Ascent 2020 - SFO Building for the future

New signage at T3 Premier Access security... The construction that is to the right as you are entering security checkpoint...

State if the art security checkpoint under construction

This security checkpoint is being expanded from four to six lanes wide and remodeled to improve passenger flow. The improvements will also enhance the passenger experience by providing special "wait-time" technology that informs passengers of anticipated wait-times for proceeding through the checkpoint, and by improving circulation at the pre-security area.

Hopefully "improving circulation at the pre-security area" means "fixing the traffic flow so people aren't cutting across the queue to exit the secured area.

And I"m curious to know how many of those 6 lanes will be dedicated to PreCheck...
