Thanks for the information. Sounds like no SQ. If I can only find LH J and F opens up closer to departure, is there any change fee? Any other good TATL airlines to consider?

Change fees for changing the cabin are $75 for nonpremier, $50 for silver, $25 Gold, and free for Plat., 1K and GS.

I'm only seeing LX Y but will keep looking. How does the changing classes work for UA. Like for example booking in Y to wait list for J or something?

LX F ex US tends to open up close in like LH F if at all. LX F ex EU can be had in advance more often.

I have recently been doing a fair amount of searching for NYC-EU tickets on UAL.com. I have seen some LX C (mostly JFK-GVA) and LH F (mostly JFK-MUC), I have not once seen LX F.

Is LX F something that is not visible on UAL.com, or just not available at all?

e.g. for Friday, Oct. 12 (two days out) I see:
LX C: JFK-GVA (LX23: is frequently available)
LH F: BOS-FRA, JFK-MUC (LH411: is frequently available), and IAD-FRA (748!)

LX F is (or at least was) easiest on YUL-ZRH.

I've seen scattered reports of people redeeming for SQ C on the 77W or 345, but I don't think ever the 388. Personally, I can't imagine why they'd (rarely) release space on EWR-SIN but not JFK-FRA...

I saw some space on the SIN-LHR 77W in C when I was prospecting a DPS award, but we ended up doing CX F. In fact SIN-LHR was pretty reliably available (the 1 flight/day that's a 77W) 300+ days out.

Why not book LH and wait til near departure when F (probably) opens up?

I've seen plenty of LX C on that route, but no LX F. I've been looking for something next July, and would LOVE to know if F ever shows up. I'm assuming not, but if there are recent experiences to the contrary, that'd be great.

I've never seen anything available on EWR-SIN, not even during the great SQ availability weekend.

I almost feel guilty for getting a J seat upstairs in the A380 on SQ for saver award miles earlier this year. But after playing with the reward calendar, it doesn't look like anything beyond economy is available on any flights I looked at with SQ on United.com

I had EWR-SIN-EWR during the Great SQ Weekend. It was a thing of beauty.

Sadly, LX does not release F space to partners anymore.
