UA.com is still by far the best award booking website, bar none

Ran into this today. United.com was not showing CPH-SIN in business, just economy. All other sites were showing I space. The phone agent was able to see it just fine though.

Clearly just a display problem, although the website had no problems showing the connecting SIN-DPS in business... weird.

all SQ inventory seems to be back, but all in economy only, even for regional 330s and 772s

sounds like another band-aid solution to me

on an unrelated note, lots of NH inventory is finally showing up properly, so that's ONE change I like

It's been 2.5 months, and UA's website still won't show SQ C award seats? I really don't want to have to pay the phone booking fee * 2 just to book a simple one way one segment award.

Are the seats available (as in, likely intra-Asia)?

For *A flights, if there's not availability in any cabin, it won't even show up in the results

Every once in a while UA gives me options without Saver or standard being avail in either class.... just 3 empty squares.

Had to call to get seats in biz DSP-SIN-HKG. Friendly agent that didn't know the website didn't show biz, but quickly waived the ticketing fee. After sorting out an issue regarding my PIN with the "helpdesk", she told me that the "helpdesk" was well aware of biz not showing online.

Yes, seats are available on ANA's site - route is SIN-DPS. Available in business only. The days that economy is available it shows right on UA's site.

Ok good. That makes sense, but I don't want to assume. I won't have the miles until next week, but now I feel better about booking it.

SQ Availability- JFK-FRA

(Not sure if this is the right place. Mods, please move if necessary)

Looking at an award ticket with potentially going JFK-FRA on SQ 25. I looked at several dates within November and didn't have any luck with Saver J. Any advice on what to do? If I do book Y, could I wait list for J? When/Does SQ open J availability?

If you are booking with United miles, you cannot waitlist for a partner airline flight, only United flight. So you could waitlist for a EWR-FRA on United business class.

SQ seldom release business class seats on this route. May be easier to get a business class seat on LH.

There are no SQ biz or first/suites seats available for UA miles on A380/77W flights, which is most of their long haul inventory. Including SQ25.

Your choices are go in Y on SQ, C on another carrier (LH flies nonstop) if you want to use UA miles.

^ Go for LH C. It is not too hard to find on the 744, and if you look hard enough you can definitely find it on the 388 too.

I have my eyes all over this route as part of a bigger award trip next year, SQ is out of the question.

Also, I see you are located in MSP. Why not go MSP-DEN/IAD-FRA? Both DEN & IAD to FRA are a little easier to pick up C or F award space on LH. F X: DEN appears to be open often.

Good luck.

Since those few days a few months back, I do not recall seeing any SQ TATL or TPAC C or F on UA.com. There may be some out there, but I would not count on ever seeing it on UA.com.

As for LH business... why? I guess LH is okay if it's on the 748 (not JFK-FRA, AFAIK), a daytime flight (FRA-JFK) or if food is more important than sleep. Otherwise I'd book UA out of EWR or, even better, LH F. The problem with LH F is that you usually have to wait until a few days before travel before it opens up.
