One calendar week or business week?

Have you check the status of your refund online and printed out the results?

Aren't these the same thing, barring a weekday holiday (which we haven't had in the past seven days)?

Refund to original form of payment

Hi,

Quick question, i did a flight change on a reservation i bought with a travel agency. the change was done online and it mentioned that i would get X amount of money refunded via the original form of payment. Last time i did this i never received the money back nad it took about 6 months of fighting to get a TC.

Anyway of getting this without wasting my time?

Regards,

What was the method of payment? If CC, check with the card issuer or online to see if it has bee credited back.

Did you get a confirmation/cancellation number? You could use it to check with UA.

Getting a Refund from United Refunds?

I booked an award flight from RGN-PGV and then return IAD-RGN for late last year in December to go home for Christmas. However plans changed and I called to cancel the return leg, have the the taxes and fees refunded and miles recredited (which I did less than 21 days before the first flight). I told the rep what I wanted to do, and she did it no problem and assured me that I'd get my refund and the miles would be back in my account shortly. I paid a $75 fee for this as well.

Now I've been waiting for 2.5 months and still nothing. I tried calling customer service but they told me to file a refund request online. So I tried filing a refund request but I've gotten no response.

Should I just call the Mileage Plus number directly and talk to them? Do you think the rep just modified the ticket, charged the $75 to change it within 21 days, and didn't refund anything? What can I do to get them to fix this up?

help with refund

Was due a 60,000 mile and $1200 refund for a flight not taken, miles put back in my account. Money was not after calling, I was told money would be refunded to my AX acct. called several day later, told it was. AX said it was not. I recalled, after long wait, told error occured and really not credited to my AX BUT would do so at once, Called today told money was in my AX account, not so. Asked for supervisor refused to assist or give me number of someone higher up said according to their records money was given to AXI asked to what account so I could douible check, Informed I could not get that information. I am out $1200, which United said I am entitled to but can not or will not tell me where it went. Frustrated How do I get assistance? any advice or words of wisdom?

What has been the total elapsed time since the cancellation?
How many written / phone contacts have you had with UA on this issue?

My wife requested a standby upgrade to business class on a flight to SYD two weeks ago ($600 and 30K miles). Her MP Visa was charged, and the miles deducted. She did not clear the upgrade, and neither the cash or miles have been credited back yet. How long should we wait before complaining to UA?

Thanks!

I've been waiting on a refund for a fully refundable F ticket.
It's been 14 days now (10 business days).

Called on the 7th business day, and the "Refunds" department claimed there's a backlog due to the snowstorm.

Online status has been showing:
"Request Received - pending review"
while also showing:
"Error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Should I just dispute the credit card charge and forget about it?
Anybody else waiting for their refunds? Cheers.

I've noticed that when an agent processes the refund (i.e. over the phone during IROP cancelations) it goes through immediately and I see the credit on my card within 48 hours.

Online refund request link hasn't worked for me the three times I've used it. Just kinda written off the minor amounts each time...

Call again and mention that this is the second call and the length of time that has elapsed. And if the agent can't push it through immediately or if the payment on your CC is due, then dispute it.

I took me 9 days to receive refunds from the early March Winter Storm in Denver cancellation. The refund also came 3 days after I filled out an online dispute of charges on my credit card statement which I subsequently cancelled of course. The refunds occurred in the middle of night according the email confirmations sent by United.
