Problem searching for fares

Hey UAinsider,
Thanks for the efforts to clear up issues ... I'm sure your team will have quite a busy time. :-(

Searching for fares from SFO to LYS, the system returns this error message:

-----------
! Lyon, France (LYS) is not currently served by United or its codeshare partners using a United flight number.
United serves Lyon, France (LYS).
---------
(emphasis added by me)

You are automatically waitlisted.

After CO joined Star, I took my first ever flight to IAH to connect to another flight. I literally fell in love with that airport and I love it! ^

As a 1K, I'd always get my upgrade on UA flights and most of the time they were in the usual 100-hour advance window. However, on a couple of those CO flights, I became skeptical of CO's automatic upgrade when I saw how low I was on waitlist!

Since then, I flew only UA mainline.

So on the PMUA website, you'd see that you were waitlisted and once you were confirmed, it would also show "Upgrade Confirmed", then you can go ahead and select your seats.

Since I'm not even seeing "Upgrade Waitlisted", will I even be notified like PMUA that the upgrade was confirmed and/or will I see on the website that the upgrade was confirmed so that I can then select my upgraded seat?

I tried that. It didn't work for me. I even put UA.com in my trusted sites list and set security for that zone to "Low" (basically turning off most IE security settings). Still no go. Cleared cache, cleared SSL cache, deleted the UA.com certificate, etc, etc, etc. Nothing has fixed it yet.

Click on Forgot PIN? under the PIN field on the sign-on page

The page is confusing because it first showed me the reminder I just set this morning (for my password but not PIN). I was hesitated to continue but since the agent did require the PIN, I clicked the "still need help" and luckily it asked the United security question instead. After successfully answering the question, I've reset my PIN.

Good luck there is no one on the other end of the phone. I've been unsuccessful in trying to reach a live agent all morning

m...I am still on the phone with the agent (1 hour 3 mins and counting)...
Guess I don't have to explain what happened when calling on the first day of conversion ;)

I'm exactly 20k short on my lifetime miles vis-a-vis the preview site, but I think the preview site was wrong and what's on the site at the moment is correct.

My RDM are fine, though.

It's perfectly reasonable to require a browser to support 128-bit encryption for secure transactions. Take the time to a Google search and you should be able to enable this easily if it is an IE version that's been released in the last 4 years.

Most of us have done the search, clicked the applicable boxes, and it's still an issue...hint, it's not us, it's UA

All my info converted over correctly with exception of my club membership expiration date. Shows expired 7/11 when it is actually 12/13. My membership was through PC.

trouble logging on

I just tried to get on the new web site from a work computer I logged in with my OP # and this is what I got-
To access the site, your browser must support 128-bit encryption with a strong cipher
Anyone else having trouble?

I hope United is planning on issuing full refunds for non-refundable tickets they screw up.

Help Shanon !!!

Same problem here on many itineraries domestically to HNL. Premier 1K, so should be able to select Economy PLus, but only allowed to select economy.

Also, waitlisted segments are showing ON instead of R on flights to HNL.

These flights are not until the end of March, so will wait until next week to call. I'm sure the help desks are working like crazy with customers who have bigger problems that need solving!

Shannon/UA Insider,
Sorry to add one more gripe to the list, but I lost my seat on an upcoming FRA-IAD. What's the 'correct' procedure to get it back?

Thanks!

Drat! There goes my hypothesis. Not looking forward to trying to explain this to an agent next week.

Same here, PMUA itineraries using PMUA SWUs

Ooh, where is the UC membership info on the new site? I've looked in several (I thought logical) places with no luck so far. I'm curious if my date is correct.

Yes, there is a whole other thread on it.
I am still on IE8 and XP3, have tried the SSL tweaks some suggested,
nothing works, so am tired of it and will come back in a few days...:td:

What a huge mess. Flying from SFO-NRT today. Multiple system lockups, agents not able to check people in and lines out the door. Flights are all delayed because they just can't get passengers through and boarded. Home printed boarding passes not working, new seating zones and general confusion.
