3/23/12 UA 698 MSP- DEN

3/27/12 UA 984 DEN- MSP ^ ... with pilot announcement that we'd get to, "listen in on the Federales."
Upon deplaning, I made a point of stopping by and thanking the captain and first officer, adding that I like it because, "It's always been a uniquely United feature that I've appreciated for many years." The FO was smiling back at me and agreeing.

3/27 UA 843 SAN-ORD Didn't pursue it at all by asking the FAs as there were other issues before leaving, like a duplicate seat assignment in the row behind me and a long standby list to try to clear onboard. Maybe the Captain just forgot about it. The FAs did mention that UA has "gate to gate audio" (verbatim) in their spiel on descent about the end of the video presentation and time to put away electronic devices but UA's headphones/audio being OK.

Angry

Zero from 15 flights this year, -- I figured that Channel 9 had gone away until I saw the (very few) positive posts here...

Asked the flight attendant. Heard an emphatic "No" all the way from row 12

3/29 UA 934 LAX-LHR ^ -- available from the gate onward (with no announcement); apparently didn't get turned back on after the trans-Atlantic portion.

3/26/2012: 641 LAX-HNL ^ , and was announced by the captain that it would be there a half hour out of LAX and an hour into HNL (I listened for about five minutes on the way out and then didn't turn it on again until descent). He was advertising it; pretty cool.

3/27/2012: 969 HNL-LAX ^ , no announcement just there into LAX (didn't try to listen on the way out)

2/29/2012: 927 SFO-LAX ^ , was the last person to board, no idea if it was announced or not, just lucky to have made the last flight of the day given the blizzard delay from SLC...

I think that is all of the mainline UA United I have flown this year... Wednesday night SFO-LAX was a CO flight, and there was no channel nine in existence. Obviously CO didn't, and I think doesn't, have the ATC channel, but was there a 9 with something before?
