Availability of ATC Communications on Channel 9 thread [2012] Flights
 

As the previous ATC availability threads were rather lengthy, we have closed those and started anew here for you to post your 2012 experiences.

Please note that this thread is limited to:
1) listing the flights/dates on which ATC communications are or aren't offered;
2) describing any interaction with flight crew staffing the specific flights about channel 9 availability;
3) describing any on-board audio system or technical issues bearing on channel 9 availability.

UA934 12/28 LAX-LHR :td: (Flight was delayed 3 hours due to crew scheduling irregularities requiring the pilot to be replaced - twice - so I wasn't surprised.)

UA935 1/4 LHR-LAX ^ (but off from past Iceland and not turned back on until we reached northern Colorado).

I thought so too. Ch. 9 was far too quiet from Oct-Dec., but I got a break a few days ago!
