I thought we were trying to up the vaccination rate? It is dropping quite a bit over the last couple of weeks.

Bojo said yesterday "5m jabs in arms by July 19th", so only 238k average a day.

I'm fairly certain he was talking about second jabs there because 5 m jabs mean 36 m fully vaccinated, which is 2/3rds of the adult population.

On a seven day rolling average, we are approaching 400,000 jabs per day. There were two peaks in March and May where we approached 600,000 per day. 400,000 in a day is still a lot of jabs.

But if you come from a country with a third of the UK's cases you've got to self isolate for 10 days, do 3 tests and spend hundreds of pounds.

Make real sense, yes.

And I wonder what the local pubs looked like afterwards. I fully support opening up sooner rather than later, but this is precisely the sort of thing that should be avoided.

Clearly, based on PH Scotland latest bulletin:

corporate-wage-slave is there any detail about whether it’s still peaking in places and then dropping, or still even dropping in the likes of Bolton, Blackburn etc? Thanks

I'm sure the great man will have a lot more wisdom than this chart but here are the cases by day per region. It's actual numbers and it's up to 28/06, source UK.gov. As you can see, NW is leading the pack, right behind there's quite a confused melee between the NE, London, SE and West Midlands.

Do the government leak conflicting information on purpose?

The spectator is reporting all legal rules will be going on July 19, including the 1m rule and compulsory rules and masks, with full capacity venues. Boris then comes out and says "extra precautions may need to remain on July 19"

This last week we had a couple of ministers talking about masks going and they won't be wearing them, and then Patel comes out and indicates the opposite.

I think the word on the street is there will be 'recommendations' in place and not 'laws'.
So e.g. please wear a mask, or we advise you to do so, and prob they will keep the self isolation legal thing for positive tests.
