Requested Status Match from QF Platinum (OWE) 1 July 2012, logged in to TK site today 2 July 2012 *G, Miles & Smiles Elite through to 31 July 2014.
Happy Camper!!! |
Will they match CX Gold?
|
Is it One World Emerald? If so, it would appear so; if not, it would appear not.

Status match came through!
Is there a way to print a temporary card?! Thanks I'm flying tomorrow. If insert it in a *A partner reservation should it should up already (I'm flying US Airways). |
Status match came through for me today as well... AA EXP. I submitted a copy of my recent statement and card yesterday and the e-mail and status update were reflected today!
|
Sent originial request around 6 June, got no response except forward to the relevant department, sent a new request 27th forwarding my old e-mail with the attachment. Got an email today stating I was gold as of 28 June but status valid until 31 July 2014. Good, as I was nowhere near requalifying for SEN.
I also see that they in fact give 368 days to requalify. That should be easy enough. FB Gold. |
Sent request on 21 June with scan of EXP card and mileage statement, received no acknowledgment. Sent follow-up request today. Further bulletins as events warrant.
|
Same here :). Amazing how quick they were to respond ^.

After sending two emails and receiving no acknowledgment, I called Turkish Airlines customer service. After 20 minutes of that soul-sucking "We are Turkish Airlines, we are globally yours" jingle on endless loop, I reached someone who denied any knowledge of the status match program, put me on hold while he "checked," then denied knowledge again. He told me that my AA EXP oneworld Emerald status doesn't matter and that
if I start with Miles and Smiles, I start from zero. He did provide stateside 800 number where I can call to follow up. Two unacknowledged emails and a wasted phone call: Is this the kind of customer service I can expect from Turkish Airlines if I actually manage to obtain the status match? |

*Update*
Requested on June 21st a status match, got matched on June 25th and got my welcome kit, Elite card, today July 3rd. Live in The Netherlands btw. Basically Turkish Airlines/Miles&Smiles did everything within a period of 2 weeks, I give them my compliments. ^ |

Very kind of you to say so, however dismissively. I thought my question was fair about whether that was what one could expect for customer service.
A status match is a courtesy and and not a right. Blaming a customer service rep who is not empowered to deal with status match procedures and then draw conclusions that TK's entire customer service is bad is may be tad over reaching. Most status match customers have not brought TK any business (yet) so at least from my perspective some patience and humility would go a long way. Just a thought. ;) |
