well, it seems that for some reason my application is taking longer than usual. Maybe is because i have a green card instead of citizenship. I'll waiy another week and than maybe i'll file a FOIA request to see what is going on as far as th what records CBP has on me.
thanks

Sometimes it just takes a little bit longer for CBP to accept your Global Entry application. I wouldn't worry if it takes another week and don't see the need to file a FOIA.. CBP may have a bunch of apps to go through, or they are just making sure that you are perfectly clear..

Interview tomorrow at ORD. What should I bring to/expect at interview?

I had to give my DL to the CBP officer to enter into the system.. Other than that, I would bring your acceptance letter, in case anyone gives you any trouble..

Bring
  1. Passport(s)
  2. Conditional approval letter

Expect:
  1. Questions about your past travels
  2. Questions about anything you put on your application
  3. If approved, a CBP sticker applied to the rear cover of your passport
  4. If approved, a 5-10 minute walk-through on the Kiosk procedure
  5. If approved, a 5 minute lecture on what to do when the kiosks are not working and what will happen if you violate the rules (e.g., you can expect that the book will be thrown at you, and very little leniency)

All told, for me, the interview took 15 minutes at IAD when I did it.

well, what do you know, i guess CBP works on weekends too. Today, Sunday i got an conditional approval.
next, appointment at enrollment center.

I received my conditional approval today also, it took a little more than a week. I scheduled my appointment for next week at IAH, they had a fully open schedule for the next month.

BTW, do I have to go through security to get to the office or is it outside the sterile area?

Most of the CBP GE offices are outside of security, IIRC.

EWR Enrollment Center?

I have a nearly 3 hour layover at EWR on Friday and have to change terminals anyway. Figure I might as well schedule my interview while I'm there, but I have no idea from the CBP interview scheduler where I go for the interview? The directions are pretty generic "Terminal B, International Arrivals" and doesn't go into anything else. Do I have to get a gate pass and go through security? Where within Terminal B is this office?

EDIT: It shows on the interview confirmation screen. On the ramp between the international arrivals hall and the "meet & greet" waiting area.

Interviewed today, I'm good to go. Am going to post a question about the passports and kiosks as a new thread.

Use the address where you are actually living. I live in Vancouver but am US citizen they want the residence address.

I already had my interview at ORD

this past Monday the 12th at 5:30pm. my wife had it on Friday 16th at 5:30pm also. The process is fast and simple. It only took 5 days for pre-approval after entering the info on-line. Not bad, can't wait to get card an try it.

FYI, you do not receive a card for Global Entry...

I applied on April 2 and it still shows pending review. Should I be getting concerned and calling them? DHS just approved by citizenship application 6 months ago.

I would say just be patient. I was approved in 5 days, my wife who became a citizen 1 year ago was approved in 35 days. It seems, at least from my limited experience with my wife and her family, that anything with DHS takes longer for naturalized citizens.
