Quick question..

When I go into GOES to apply for Global Entry, the Global Entry option is grayed out. I can only apply for Sentri and Nexus. Anyone else have this issue? I emailed the support to which I got generic response telling me what to click. Hard to do when it's grayed out =). I travel 4-6 times a year internationally so I'm very much interested in this program.

Go to this site: https://goes-app.cbp.dhs.gov/ and click "register" to start the on-line application.

I've already "registered" and have a GOES userid. When I go in and click "Enroll In A New Program", the Global Entry Program is grayed out and non-selectable.

I will be going to SYD next Friday, the 28th, returning on the 30th. Where can I find the Global Entry kiosk at SFO? Thanks!

As you walk in the hall, they're on the far left wall. Easy to find.

Depending upon your arrival time at SFO, you may not save much time, b/c SFO *can* be an incredibly quick place to clear, but if you come in with several other flights, it's great.

For SFO, the location of the kiosks depends on what airline, i.e. wing, of the international terminal you arrive at. For United, i.e. the north wing, the kiosks are on the left but for the south wing airlines, I was told during my interview that they are on the right.

Fair enough - I assumed the OP was on UA again, and (to be honest) I've never been in the south wing international arrivals area...

Thanks for the responses! I was travelling all day, so I wasn't able to read what you had posted...

In response, I will be flying UA. I land at SFO around 10:25am on 5/30, barring any major MX delays in SYD!! (crosses fingers!)

Just as a follow up in case anyone else runs into this..

I transposed a number in my birthdate, fixed my profile and was able to complete the GE application. We'll see how long it takes to get any sort of update.

Of the 4 ORD machines I tried on a recent early morning arrival, only one was working. No one around to offer assistance. The area had no border patrol. I was contemplating just walking though but knew there was no upside to this. Other passengers continued on to the next section.

I finally got one of the four in the unmanned section to work after I had tried the other three and waited for another, successful, passenger.

When the machines work, it is brilliant.

Ive had the same problem with O'hare. I had to keep moving my passport around before it read it and got me through. I was still one of the first ones through so I did not care.

When the machine does not work, just walk to the front of the line and show your sticker. I actually traveled with daughter who does not have one and went to front of line with my sticker and her and no problem

I can confirm that bringing in the new passport in person isn't actually necessary; I renewed my passport, updated the info online in GOES, and successfully used it at a kiosk yesterday afternoon at IAD.

I do hope that I can make time to stop and get a new sticker at some point, though. Does anyone know if an appointment is needed for this?

When I had my interview for GE, I specifically asked whether I had to schedule an appt. when I got my new passport, the answer was NO--just come in.
I'll find out in a few days when I bring in my new passport.:)

I was told the same thing. The other thing I was told was to be sure to bring your enrollment number/letter to speed things along. The scanning and stickering surely takes about 1 minute once they locate your account.
