Using the same document to check-in and board is a real, but airline specific, policy.
People online check-in these days. If they online check-in, airline would definitely want to verify as part of boarding that the passenger is in physical possession of said document. |
Please keep in mind, I believe you have to have had an iris scan to be able to use Nexus when flying.

When leaving Canada for the US, no. |
If you have no iris scan, CBSA would have provided a No iris sticker for the NEXUS card. If flying into Canada, you would use the special services lane.

Hi all,
Scoured the thread but couldn't find the question I'm looking for - thanks in advance for your help. If I've been a university student for some of the last 5 years but have had part time jobs in between or during school, how should that be recorded on the employment history? - also the nature of my work (after graduating) is that I do spot shifts here and there for different employers, should each employer be included? My other question is with regards to mailing address vs residential address - is it okay if the address on my drivers license (this is my mailing address) is not my current residential address? Thanks for your help everyone! |

HI All,
My family just got our Nexus last fall and haven't really used it yet but I have a question about my wife's nexus. When we applied she was a Canadian PR but over the winter she applied and received her Canadian Citizenship. A few days later we applied for her passport and we are waiting to receive it. My question is - what update do we need to do for her and how? Can we just go on-line or do we need to go to an office to update them? She still has her British Passport but should be getting her new Canadian one any day. thanks |

But my card was never marked with a sticker. |
The no iris sticker is more of a permanent thing rather than not being registered
My son has one because he was 2 months old when he got his nexus card My father in law has one due to vision problems and they opted not to scan his |

Updating Passport Info with Canada
Data Point -
I renewed my passport recently and updated my passport information at GOES website. I also sent email with copy of my NEXUS card (front/back) and Passport (cover/picture page) to CBSA and asked to update my passport information. I got a reply from CBSA the next day saying my passport information was updated. I haven't been to Canada since then, so I'm not 100% sure if it's really updated or not, however... BTW I live in the US. |

FYI - email is not secure. Your scans containing your name and date of birth is just sitting in various servers involved in relying that email from your account to CBSA waiting to be hacked.
fax is a better option. |
