Global Entry application submittal: 7/18/15
Received conditional approval: 7/29/15
Interview date at IAD: 7/30/15
Approval: 8/7/15*
* I did not receive any updates one week after my interview so I called the office and they sent the approval 30 minutes later.
My wife had her interview on 7/31/15, received the approval email within 15 minutes, and her card came in the mail 7 days after.
Service and availability of appointments were great!

Easier Interview Location?
Which is the easier, quicker access interview location, Austin or San Antonio.
Thanks,

I applied since the 9th and as of the 20th it still says under review
edit: got my conditional approval this morning 08/21. scheduled my interview for next thursday in the evening at jfk which is very convenient since i already work there for an airlines so i can go on my break. I was surprised that jfk had openings so soon, reading some of the earlier posts they had to schedule for weeks in advance.

Two us applied:
Phoenix, AZ
Submitted #1, on 8.14.15
-- Conditional approval on 8.25.15
-- Interview scheduled next available for 10.1.15 (Luckily randomly checked one night and saw a slot for 9.2.15 early morning, so grabbed it)
-- Approval notification: 9.2.15, 5 minutes after leaving the office (Phoenix interview was more like hand in your papers, take your picture, and then have your fingerprints taken and goodbye)
Submitted #2, on 8.16.15
-- Conditional approval on 8.26.15
-- Interview scheduled for November, next available was 10.3.15 though.

Applied Online: Thurs 8/13.
Cond. Approval: Mon 8/24.
Appt. Scheduled: Mon 8/31 @ Detroit (Ambassador Bridge)
Final Approval: Mon 8/31, 90 minutes after appointment.
Appointments were available as soon as next day at DTW or six business days out at the downtown Detroit center.
ETA:
I ended up finding an open appointment at the Detroit (Ambassador Bridge) center so switched from DTW since it is about 20 minutes closer to home. Arrived at 10:55 for my 11:00 and was back to the car by 11:05. Most of that was walking to and from the car as a semi was blocking all of the close in parking. It is a tricky location next to the truck processing facility. You have to follow the entrance to the Ambassador Bridge and then bear left to the truck processing terminal. There is decent signage, but you do have to follow the "Exit to Canada - No Reentry" path. Leave extra time in case you get turned around.

Smooth process, 3 weeks start to finish:
Applied online: 3 August
Conditionally approved: 13 August
Interviewed and approved: 20 August (at JFK)
Received card in the mail: 24 August
The biggest challenge is finding an available interview appointment; within a two-week period, the SEA-YVR and BOS-NYC corridors were booked 2-3 months out, with the notable exceptions of Blaine, JFK, and EWR, which often had multiple next-day appointments. Easy and congenial interview.

If you log into GOES, there's a Conditional Approval Notification hyperlink; printing that out before you go gives you an official document with your TTN printed on it; it also tells you what you should bring with you. It might be ok to show it to them on a phone. Maybe.

Submitted my wife's app 8/14.
Conditional Acceptance today 8/24.
Openings at IAH Term E (secure area. need boarding pass) TOMORROW! And basically
every day the rest of the month and every day in September except weekends and
Labor day.
BUT, she's not going anywhere so to get into this office would require buying a ticket, going through security, doing the interview, then cancelling the ticket right away. Anything wrong with that plan?
Or, she can interview at IAH Terminal E office that is outside of security but earliest date is Sept 8. Downtown Houston not until October.
Last shot: Oct 24. We have a four hour layover at ORD before connecting to our Intl flight. She could do it then but I don't like the time pressure then. Our inbound might be late.
And, as I was typing this another date popped up at IAH-outside security- for Sept 1. Will have to fight morning Houston traffic for an 8:45 appointment but at least we'll be done with it.
Follow up question. Am I correct that all she needs to take is her notification of Conditional Acceptance letter, her Passport, and another ID such as a Drivers License? Her interview confirmation just says to bring the letter and Passport as the Passport covers U.S. citizenship and Admissibility.
I don't remember much about my interview other than it took about ten - 15 minutes. She's nervous about what questions they'll ask. Any words of wisdom?
I've tried to assure her it's no big deal. She's never even had a traffic ticket at age 63.
