From reading some posts, it appears that some places accept walk-in's. Does anyone know if YYZ would accept a walk-in?
For doc updates, certainly - I always walk in to YYZ for that. For interviews, no. The closest I came was I had an interview scheduled in the early evening one day, but had to drop someone off at the airport in the morning. Walked to the office to see if they would take me, because, hey, if they would, why not do it while I was there. They said that was fine, and that Canada would see me right away, but I'd have to wait for the US side until whenever they could take me (this was my renewal in ~2012, so year, 5 years ago - so before the US and Canada sat at the same desk and saw you together). Was done with the Canadian officer in like a minute or two. Wait for the US officer: 2 hours. So yeah, was there a while. But like I said, 5 years ago, so likely different now, though I doubt they will take a random walk in. |

Completed the online renewal process this evening. My expiration is November of this year. Will see how quick its approved, and if I need to do the in person interview for renewal.
