Hello Everyone. I received a Status Change email for my NEXUS application at 1 AM EST this morning.
Im not going to schedule just yet because I am waiting for my mom's conditional approval. She Applied a week after I did.

Initial Application - August 8
Conditional Approval - October 8

earliest available appointments:
montreal - 11/2
Chaplain - 10/11
Lansdowne - 10/12
Ottawa - 11/29
Niagara Falls - 10/11
Buffalo - 10/11

As a side note, I thought this was a bit funny and almost useless.
I submitted an application question through this link:
https://help.cbp.gov/app/ask/kw/application/sno/1
I selected the Topic of: GOES/Global Entry/SENTRI/NEXUS etc > Application Assistance.
I submitted this question to help my mom, because I only have 1 citizenship, so its much more straight forwards. My mom was born in Colombia, still has Colombian Citizenship, but also has US citizenship. After we submitted her application, we realized that maybe we should have included her Colombian citizenship also, but we weren't sure. I emailed CBP the question with her PASSID, first name, and her email address. This question submission form really only has a Topic, email address, and message fields, and does not guide you on what information you should provide. I hadn't heard anything the first couple weeks, so I assumed my message was lost. Finally, 38 business days later, a response!!

8/16 - emailed
10/7 - useless response

Their response:

Response Via Email (Chief, Trusted Traveler Program Helpdesk) 10/07/2016 08:19 AM
Thank you for contacting the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) INFO Center.

To research your issue(s) and better serve you, please reply to this email to verify your GOES account information:

Full Name
City/State of Birth (do not provide us your date of birth)
Email Address associated with your account
PASS ID (if you have one)
GOES User ID
At this point I dont really think it matters. She submitted her application a week after mine, and her application hasnt had any updates or denials at this point, so Im thinking its still moving forward correctly.

Welcome to FT. Thank you for sharing. Your Mom can provide her Colombian citizenship information at interview.

As I am in the process of moving to northwest Washington State, I have scheduled my interview at YVR toward the end of October.

Blaine probably has more interview openings; depending on where you are in WA that might also be more convenient.

timeline update for family of three:
I applied 12 August
applied for my daughter around 15 August
Applied for partner on 16 August

Got the first conditional approval 10 October, which was for the kid (I had assumed that they would be the fastest to approve). Will update once the others roll in.

I am still waiting on approvals for my entire family.

I applied August 4th in New Brunswick for my wife, 2 kids ages 1.5 and 3.5 and myself. Still says pending review on all of us. I did make a mistake on my sons birthday - I put the wrong year, hopefully that won't slow everything up, surely they would be able to tell from his passport date that he wasn't born this year.

Thank you for the information 1KChinito! I just got my moms approval. Ill be sure to tell her to bring her Colombian documentation with her.

I also have another question. I live in New Jersey so I will be taking a road trip into Canada for a few days in order to attend the final interview. I have read on this thread that some enrollment centers do not have an IRIS scan, so I dont want to have to come back so soon just to get the IRIS scan done. Ideally I would like to take the interview at Toronto Pearson International Airport, if not at Buffalo-Fort Erie or the Niagara Falls, NY Enrollment center. I believe the Toronto enrollment center is working out of a temporary location, but im not sure. Does anyone know if any or all of these have the IRIS scan which I can do the same day as the interview?

Thanks!

Applied: 7/14
Conditional approval: 9/20
Total days: 69
Citizenship: dual US/Canada

Good luck y'all.

I had my interview at the Fort Erie Enrollment Center (just over the Peace Bridge) yesterday, 10/15. I arrived 15 minutes late for a 2PM appointment due to horrendous bridge traffic. I walked into the back of the building, as the front coming off Central Avenue does not have any entrances, and presented my approval letter. The tardiness was not an issue as the CBP officer asked for my passport and DL and told me to have a seat. Five minutes later a CBSA officer called my name and took me inside. She was very nice and explained all the rules of the program then had me back out in the sitting area.

A few more minutes and I was called to another room. This time it was both a CBP and CBSA officer at different desks. One desk with fingerprint machine and CBP officer and another with an iris machine and CBSA officer. Did both scans and was handed a small pouch containing my passport and DL and told to exit this office, follow some yellow line to an office next door, and to have a seat there and wait to be called. After waiting for about ten minutes I was called again, this time by another CBP officer who went over the program from the US perspective, asked me a few questions about committing any crimes or being denied entry to the US. In ten more minutes I was back out in the parking lot (3:08pm) and received the email with GOES account status change.

A bit of strange sequence of events but approved and all done for 5 years.

Good luck y'all.
